A woman named Kirsty became pregnant during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and shared her abortion pill regret<\/a> with March for Life UK<\/a>, saying that she felt “horrible” as soon as she began taking the multi-pill regimen. “[As] soon as I took the first pill, I didn’t want to,” she said. She had initially been happy to be pregnant, but the baby’s father was not. He used threats to convince her to abort.<\/p>\n

Kirsty was unable to have a face-to-face consultation with a medical professional regarding abortion \u2014 something that has become standard in both the UK and the U.S. since the pandemic. “It was a very brief [telephone] conversation,” she said. “More of a case of where they were going to send the medication.”<\/p>\n

She says no one informed her of the risks associated with the abortion and no one offered an ultrasound to date the pregnancy. Kirsty had taken the abortion pill years prior and had ended up in the hospital as a result. She didn’t want that to happen again.<\/p>\n
