During a Rose Garden celebration of teachers on Monday, President Biden quoted National Teacher of the Year Rebecka Peterson’s application letter in which she wrote, “there is no such thing as somebody else’s child.” Biden took it a step further to claim that all of our children belong to the nation as a whole \u2014 a statement that struck a nerve<\/a> with many, who insisted that children belong to their parents and not to the state. But regardless of the intended meaning behind the statement, our nation ignores the deaths of thousands of its children every single day \u2014 with the Biden administration doing its best to ensure that more of these children are killed in abortion.<\/p>\n

Ask most teachers and they will tell you that they refer to their students as “my kids” and that is what it appears Peterson was referencing in her application responses, which she addressed<\/a> to other teachers. Biden, however, said:<\/p>\n

Rebecka put a teacher’s creed into words when she said “There is no such thing as someone else’s child.” No such thing as someone else’s child. <\/em><\/p>\n

Our nation’s children are all our children. <\/em><\/p>\n

If the sentiment is that our nation should care for children, then why is the Biden administration working to increase<\/em> the direct and intentional killing of our nation’s children before they draw their first breaths?<\/p>\n
