All <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theoaklandpress.com\/2023\/02\/20\/pro-lifers-on-trial-tuesday-in-southfield\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">were charged<\/a> with trespassing, resisting\/obstructing a police officer, disorderly conduct-interfering with a business, and loitering.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">?Today Judge Arvant sentenced my friends &amp; fellow Rescuers to 60-90 days in Oakland County, Michigan jail<\/p>\n<p>I told Laura who is currently being processed \u201cI won\u2019t give u platitudes. You won\u2019t be forgotten\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/p1KxzdAJuH\">pic.twitter.com\/p1KxzdAJuH<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; CatholicBandito?? #StopCopCity (@repreaux) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/repreaux\/status\/1641564097069080579?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 30, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Southfield\u2019s Deputy Chief of Police Jeffrey Jagielski said the six activists entered the Northland Family Planning abortion facility to hand out red roses, with information on how to get help should the women decide against abortion, and then they refused to leave. When police tried to force them to leave, they became &#8220;limp,&#8221; and were taken out in wheelchairs.<\/p>\n<p>Miller called the verdict &#8220;disappointing and frustrating&#8221; in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theoaklandpress.com\/2023\/02\/24\/jury-returns-verdicts-for-6-abortion-protesters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interview<\/a> with the Oakland Free Press. \u201cWe were there to defend life, throwing ourselves on the side of the unwanted. I know what it\u2019s like in a [Michigan] jail but I will tell you&#8230; you aren\u2019t alone. You won\u2019t be forgotten,&#8221; she said of Guis. &#8220;She\u2019s currently being stripped naked and a cavity search. Then given a uniform\/number and taken to a cage where she will survive the next 60 days. Her crime? Passing out roses and resources to moms seeking abortions inside that business\u2019 lobby. For acting like abortion is murder. For declaring our preborn neighbors are of equal moral worth and then aligning her beliefs to actions. For ignoring the imaginary line that the State enforces where baby killing is ok vs not ok. For loving passionately and vulnerably these babies. May God have mercy on all those incarcerated.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Connolly, along with Father Moscinski, were both sentenced to 90 days. Guis received a 60-day sentence, and Miller was sentenced to 45 days. Wagi was sentenced to 18 months probation and 10 days of community service, and Gregor received a sentence of 12 months probation.
