Pro-life activists this week are remembering the first anniversary of the gruesome and shocking discovery of the aborted remains of over 100 babies \u2013 including five who were old enough to have potentially survived outside the womb. Despite the discovery, which gained national attention and prompted the rallying cry, “Justice for the Five,” law enforcement officials have seemingly taken no action<\/strong><\/em><\/span>\u00a0to investigate the circumstances surrounding their deaths at the hands of Washington, D.C.\u00a0abortionist Cesare Santangelo.<\/span><\/p>\n

On March 25, 2022, <\/span>Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU) Founder and Executive Director Terrisa Bukovinac and PAAU Director of Activism Lauren Handy went to Washington Surgi-Center, Santangelo’s abortion business, to engage in pro-life activism<\/span>. While there, they <\/span>recovered the remains of the 115 preborn children, including five who were victims of late-term abortions. Evidence and expert testimony suggest<\/a> that some of these children were potentially born alive and then killed, or were killed via an illegal D&X or ‘partial-birth’ abortion procedure. Most of the children were later buried<\/a> in a funeral mass, while the remains of the five older babies were turned over to the D.C. Medical Examiner for forensic investigation. Following this, more than 60 members of congress signed letters<\/a>\u00a0sent to Attorney General Merrick Garland, the D.C. Police Department, and Mayor Muriel Bowser, demanding an investigation into the deaths. Despite this, no action has been taken, and Santangelo continues to commit abortions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
