On Friday, February 24, activists affiliated with <\/span>Pro-Life San Francisco<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust<\/span><\/a> were arrested following a gathering at an outdoor plaza on the campus of Zuckerberg San Francisco General, a hospital which commits abortions and trains abortionists in affiliation with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to a press release from Pro-Life San Francisco, the purpose of the peaceful gathering, which took place on public property, was to \u201chand out literature, display signs, make speeches, and engage in street theater to increase public awareness of unethical activity and the likelihood of crimes taking place on the 6th floor of the hospital.\u201d The sixth floor is where abortions are committed and where fetal tissues are <\/span>harvested<\/span><\/a> for experimentation purposes.<\/span><\/p>\n

The gathering was quickly interrupted by uniformed sheriff\u2019s deputies, who declared the gathering an unlawful assembly. Within half an hour of their arrival, two of the activists \u2013 Tim Clement, Outreach Director of Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, and Anastasia Rogers, a San Francisco resident and animal-rights activist \u2013 were arrested under California Penal Code \u00a7 602.1(b), which states:<\/span><\/p>\n

Any person who intentionally interferes with any lawful business carried on by the employees of a public agency open to the public, by obstructing or intimidating those attempting to carry on business, or those persons there to transact business with the public agency, and who refuses to leave the premises of the public agency after being requested to leave by the office manager or a supervisor of the public agency, or by a peace officer acting at the request of the office manager or a supervisor of the public agency, is guilty of a misdemeanor\u2026<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

According to spokespeople for Pro-Life San Francisco, the activists were not \u201cintentionally interfer[ing]\u201d with, \u201cobstructing,\u201d or \u201cintimidating\u201d anyone attempting to conduct business with the hospital.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
