One thing is certain: the profitable abortion industry knows how to protect itself… and it is doing so under the guise of protecting women.<\/p>\n

In this “Bad Actors” series, Live Action News has shown evidence of repeated ways the abortion industry gets away with ignoring FDA protocols for the abortion pill regimen, potentially placing women in harm’s way. Just as concerning is the fact that, in order to cover for their negligence and unapproved methods, these “bad actors” are now advising women to lie<\/a>\u00a0to medical\/ER staff \u2014 and also encouraging emergency room staff to falsify reports<\/em> \u2014 about abortion pill complications.<\/p>\n

Advising women to lie and attribute abortion pill complications to natural miscarriage<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a video report recently\u00a0published<\/a>\u00a0by Vice News, New Mexico abortionist Franz Theard can be heard advising an abortion pill client to lie if she has a complication.\u00a0\u201cIf you have to go to the hospital for any reason, you don\u2019t have to admit that you had the abortion pill; you can say \u2018I\u2019m having a miscarriage,’\u201d Theard is heard stating.<\/p>\n

This does nothing to help the woman and everything to protect the abortionist or prescriber, who is required under the FDA’s REMS safety system to have the ability to intervene if the woman experiences an abortion pill-related complication, or the ability to refer her to someone who can.<\/p>\n

In like manner, Florida abortionist Ralph Bundy, M.D., recently explained in the\u00a0Daily Kos<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0\u201cthere\u2019s no medical reason to tell a doctor about an abortion<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

And these abortion providers are not alone.<\/p>\n

Renee Bracey Sherman,\u00a0former<\/a>\u00a0NARAL board member and\u00a0founder<\/a>\u00a0of the abortion site We Testify, told\u00a0Twitter<\/a>\u00a0followers, \u201cIllegal doesn\u2019t have to mean unsafe. With medication abortion, it\u2019s quite safe to self-manage an abortion\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then, in order to muddy what little data there is on abortion pill complications and deaths,\u00a0in the exact same\u00a0thread<\/a>\u00a0Sherman\u00a0advised abortion patients to lie<\/em>\u00a0to hospital staff and claim they are experiencing a natural miscarriage rather than a chemical abortion when\u00a0presenting<\/a>\u00a0to the emergency room.<\/p>\n

\u201cRemember, if someone decides to go to the ER because they\u2019re concerned about how their self-managed abortion is progressing, they can just say they\u2019re having a miscarriage. There\u2019s no way to test for the medications in your system and the treatment for miscarriage is an abortion,\u201d she tweeted.<\/p>\n

The pro-abortion PlanC group openly\u00a0tells<\/a>\u00a0women to\u00a0lie<\/a>\u00a0when they face complications from their abortion methods: \u201cPeople who self-manage their abortions should know that if they seek help at an urgent care clinic, they do not need to report that they have used abortion pills that they purchased online.\u201d The group\u00a0previously<\/a>\u00a0claimed, \u201cthere is\u00a0no way it can be detected in the body<\/a>, even if a blood test is taken.\u201d<\/p>\n

A ReproAction flyer clearly advises<\/a> women to lie, stating that “[a]bortion with pills taken orally presents like a miscarriage. There is no need to disclose use of pills to medical staff…”<\/p>\n

A webinar\u00a0published<\/a>\u00a0by ReproAction in 2018 also states, \u201c[T]he symptoms of an abortion with pills and miscarriage are exactly the same and the treatment for any kind of complication is exactly the same\u2026. It\u2019s important for people to understand\u00a0there\u2019s no test for these pills in blood or urine<\/strong>\u00a0so if they present with a miscarriage they can get the healthcare that they need\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n
