It is owned by Morgan Nuzzo and Diane Horvath, who used crowdfunding to raise the money needed to open the facility. Katie Yoder has since reported that the facility is open, just minutes away from the University of Maryland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPartners in Abortion Care is the only women-owned and operated abortion clinic providing abortions in all trimesters,\u201d their website says. &#8220;We\u2019re committed to helping people coming from areas where abortion rights have been restricted.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">An *all-trimester* abortion clinic is now open in College Park, Maryland &#8212; it&#39;s a 7-minute walk from the University of Maryland.<\/p>\n<p>This drop-down menu of their &quot;services&quot; is heartbreaking&#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/1gAbOwQqaV\">pic.twitter.com\/1gAbOwQqaV<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Katie Yoder (@k_yoder) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/k_yoder\/status\/1624139556772581384?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 10, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Horvath has a less-than-stellar history, which includes a <a href=\"http:\/\/abortiondocs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Horvath-Cosper-Diane-2016-Doe-v.-PP-Silver-Spring-MD-PP-of-Metro-Washington-DC-Diane-Horvath.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">malpractice suit<\/a> after seriously injuring a woman in a dilation and evacuation (D&amp;E). The patient\u2019s uterus was perforated, while her right ovary and fallopian tube were destroyed. The damage was so extensive that she had to undergo corrective surgery to repair the lacerations and stop the bleeding; even her appendix had to be removed. Doctors also discovered that the abortion had also not been completed, leaving parts of the baby inside the woman\u2019s uterus.<\/p>\n<p>She additionally <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortionist-abortion-birth-control-best\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">encouraged<\/a> women to undergo repeat abortions, and to use it as birth control&#8230; which is not surprising, considering how <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/warren-hern-late-term-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lucrative<\/a> late-term abortions are.<\/p>\n<p>Yet apparently, the facility still needs more money and is selling a pet calendar \u2014\u00a0an odd (or perhaps not so odd) inclusion on its website.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Also, they&#39;re selling a pet calendar? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/zsPJ5h7eN5\">pic.twitter.com\/zsPJ5h7eN5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Katie Yoder (@k_yoder) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/k_yoder\/status\/1624141877925580810?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 10, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Right now, however, it seems business is good. Horvath told the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/amp\/articles\/women-encounter-abortion-delays-as-clinics-draw-patients-from-out-of-state-f40e318b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wall Street Journal<\/a> that the business is having to turn people away.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know, we\u2019re not monsters,\u201d she previously told NPR, making an oft-repeated (and false) claim that women need late-term abortions almost solely due to medical reasons. \u201cWe\u2019re trying to help people. We\u2019re really, really, really trying to help people who are in absolutely unimaginable situations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QmuSEgr7auc\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>However, a 1988 Guttmacher <a href=\"https:\/\/pdfs.semanticscholar.org\/2c52\/ac8c0fc305b346d111e018dd7ce14df57bb1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">study<\/a> found that just two percent (2%) of women who had abortions did so because of a health problem with the baby. More than 20 years later, a 2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/full\/10.1363\/4521013\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">study<\/a> (also published by the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute) said, \u201c[D]ata suggest that most women seeking later terminations are not doing so for reasons of fetal anomaly or life endangerment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pro-abortion researcher Diana Greene Foster stated, according to a report from the <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Comment-on-Turnaway-study-Greene-Foster-Late-term-abortion-reasons.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Congressional Research Service<\/a>, that abortions for fetal abnormalities \u201cmake up a small minority of later abortion.\u201d And a 2010 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whijournal.com\/article\/S1049-3867(11)00014-4\/pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">paper<\/a> from Julia Steinberg, of the pro-abortion Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health, said, \u201cResearch suggests that the overwhelming majority of women having later abortions do so for reasons other than fetal anomaly (Drey et al., 2006; Finer et al., 2005, 2006; Foster et al., 2008).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Abortion is a procedure that always results in at least one human&#8217;s death.
