Following her Super Bowl halftime performance on Sunday, Rihanna made headlines, not for the show, but for the baby bump she was showcasing. Rihanna had announced she would have a “surprise guest” with her at the performance, and that special guest turned out to be her preborn child.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Headlines from the <\/span>Associated Press<\/span><\/a> to <\/span>People<\/span><\/a> and from <\/span>Bazaar<\/span><\/a> to <\/span>CNN<\/span><\/a> rang out the news that Rihanna is visibly pregnant nine months after the birth of her first child with rapper A$AP Rocky. In response to why she decided to perform at Sunday\u2019s game, she was <\/span>quoted<\/span><\/a> as saying, \u201cWhen you become a mom, there\u2019s something that just happens where you feel like you can take on the world and do anything. The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world. As scary as that was, because I haven\u2019t been on stage in seven years, there\u2019s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She had said that the pregnancy was not planned. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t say [we were] planning [to start a family]. But certainly not planning against it,\u201d she said. \u201cI don\u2019t know when I ovulate or any of that type of s\u2013t. We just had fun. And then it was just there on the test.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
