The U.S. House passed<\/a> a resolution<\/a> on Wednesday condemning attacks against pro-life organizations, the likes of which largely increased in May 2022 following the leak of the Supreme Court draft decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization<\/em>, the ruling that ultimately overturned Roe v. Wade<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The resolution passed<\/a> by a vote of 222-209 (with three abstaining) and states that the House\u00a0\u201ccondemns recent attacks of vandalism, violence, and destruction against pro-life facilities, groups and churches\u201d and \u201ccalls upon the Biden Administration to use all appropriate law enforcement authorities to uphold public safety and to protect the rights of pro-life facilities, groups, and churches.\u201d<\/p>\n

The resolution listed specific attacks against pro-life groups including vandalism, Molotov cocktails, and arson. Pro-life pregnancy centers, churches, and pro-life volunteers have suffered threats<\/a> to their safety from groups such as the pro-abortion Jane’s Revenge, which often spray paints pro-life buildings with the phrase, “If abortions aren’t safe neither are you.”\u00a0Jane\u2019s Revenge also\u00a0vowed<\/a>\u00a0a \u2018Night of Rage\u2019 following the Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade<\/em> and Planned Parenthood v. Casey<\/em> in June, which led to limited\u00a0violence<\/a>\u00a0in the streets and an arson attack at the Life Choices Pregnancy Center in Longmont, Colorado.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere have been now nearly 100 recorded acts of violence and intimidation against pro-life individuals and organizations by radical, pro-abortion activists since the initial leak of the draft Supreme Court Dobbs opinion,\u201d said Rep. Ann Wagner (R-Mo.).<\/p>\n

In 2022, the FBI confirmed that 70% of abortion-related threats and violence since the draft opinion was leaked have been committed against pro-lifers, not abortion businesses.<\/p>\n

Testifying before the Senate Homeland Security Committee in November, FBI Director Christopher Wray\u00a0said<\/a>, \u201cNow, we have quite a number of investigations \u2014 as we speak \u2014 into attacks or threats against pregnancy resource centers, faith-based organizations, and other pro-life organizations. And you might be interested to know that since the Dobbs act decision, probably in the neighborhood of 70% of our abortion-related violence cases or threats cases are cases of violence or threats against [\u2026] pro-life organizations.\u201d<\/p>\n
