The form allows anyone to file a complaint if they say they were unable to receive an abortion or experienced &#8220;harassment&#8221; at an abortion facility or pregnancy resource center.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kxly.com\/we-see-protests-very-frequently-washington-ags-office-introduces-measures-to-protects-abortion-rights\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KXLY<\/a>, the AG&#8217;s office will use the information collected in the form to work with law enforcement to potentially open up an investigation against people named in any complaints.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/fortress.wa.gov\/atg\/formhandler\/ago\/reproductiverights.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">form<\/a> includes a number of suggested items that serve as a basis for a complaint, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>being denied an abortion<\/li>\n<li>experiencing harassment at an abortion facility<\/li>\n<li>experiencing deception, harassment, or misconduct at a crisis pregnancy center<\/li>\n<li>denial of insurance coverage for abortion<\/li>\n<li>pharmacy refusal to fill a prescription for birth control, emergency contraception, or abortion pills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cWe wanted to make sure people understood what their rights were,\u201d said Kristin Beneski, Washington\u2019s First Assistant Attorney General.\u00a0\u201cCertainly our office is working to understand situations in which people\u2019s rights may be being violated, and if that\u2019s ever the case our intent would be to take actions within our power to protect those rights.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/give.liveaction.org\/future-of-abortion\/?utm_source=lan&amp;utm_medium=article&amp;utm_campaign=minibomb\"><b><i>For every dollar given, 34 more people can be reached with the truth about abortion. Will you join us in this life-saving work as a monthly donor today?<\/i><\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood praised the complaint form, and a spokesman said that the abortion business intends to use the form to limit pro-life activity outside its abortion facilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProtests have doubled, and so we\u2019re seeing more protests. It does impact staff, it does impact patients,\u201d Paul Dillon with Planned Parenthood in Spokane said. \u201cWe\u2019ve already had some noisy protests this morning with protesters yelling at staff and patients, and we had patients voice concern.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While it appears that the complaint form may be used to target pro-life activity, the FBI has confirmed that 70% of abortion-related threats and violence \u2014 since the draft of the Supreme Court&#8217;s decision to overturn <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>\u00a0was leaked in May \u2014 have been committed <em>against<\/em>\u00a0<em>pro-lifers<\/em>, not abortion businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Testifying before the Senate Homeland Security Committee in November, FBI Director Christopher Wray <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/fbi-70-threats-violence-pro-lifers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>, \u201cNow, we have quite a number of investigations \u2014 as we speak \u2014 into attacks or threats against pregnancy resource centers, faith-based organizations, and other pro-life organizations.
