Several years ago, Kaya Jones \u2014 who shot to fame as a member of the music group Pussycat Dolls \u2014 spoke about<\/a> the evils of abortion, and how Hollywood pressures young women to have them at the threat of their careers. Now, she’s spoken further about the issue, including admitting that she has undergone multiple abortions herself.<\/p>\n

Jones, whose real name is Chrystal Neria, appeared on the \u201cSpeak Out\u201d with host Christine Yeargin, and explained that she wanted to warn other women against making the same choices she had. Now 38, she said her first abortion was as a teenager, and though she was a minor, she was able to undergo the procedure without her family’s knowledge. This first abortion would pave the way for the others to follow.<\/p>\n

“After the first one, you don\u2019t think you\u2019ve done anything wrong,” she said. “It\u2019s been normalized. And what is a line until you\u2019ve crossed it? … Once you\u2019ve crossed that line, it\u2019s a very slippery slope to continue to cross those lines.”<\/p>\n

Later, she became a member of the Pussycat Dolls, but this time, the decision to have an abortion wasn’t fully her own.<\/p>\n

“I was told to get rid of it,” she said. \u201cAnd at that point, because I had already gone through an abortion previously, I didn\u2019t think it was that big of a deal.”<\/p>\n
