The 2022 respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) season has been particularly hard on small children this year \u2013 and it might have been even harder for one family with triplets if a state trooper hadn\u2019t been in the right place at the right time.<\/p>\n

Derrick Stroud was speeding down the highway at 100 miles per hour with his hazard lights on, fianc\u00e9e Victoria O’Neal and their nine-week-old triplets in the car. One of the little girls \u2013 Amelia \u2013 started getting sick on Sunday, and by Tuesday, she was struggling to breathe. Victoria frantically called Derrick at work, and asked him to take them to the hospital because of how sick Amelia looked. But as he flew down the highway, a local state trooper put on his lights.<\/p>\n

“When he pulled me over,\u201d Stroud told Good Morning America (GMA)<\/a>, \u201cI was frantically hanging out the window, letting him know that my baby was having problems at that time breathing.”<\/p>\n
