Dr. Warren Hern, a late-term abortionist based in Colorado, recently appeared on <\/span>PBS News Hour<\/span><\/a>‘s\u00a0\u201cBrief But Spectacular\u201d segment, where he spoke about committing abortions for nearly half a century.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hern discussed his education in obstetrics \u2013 learning to deliver babies. But he later decided, after seeing women injured from illegal abortions, that committing abortion was \u201cthe most important thing I could do in medicine.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Hern cited the now-overturned <\/span>Roe v. Wade<\/span><\/i> decision as a turning point:\u00a0 \u201cThe Roe v. Wade case came down in 1973. I thought that implementing the Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade was very important. It didn\u2019t mean anything if doctors weren\u2019t doing the abortions.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Hern opened his office in Boulder the year of the Supreme Court decision, and has spent his career committing abortions in all trimesters of pregnancy.<\/span><\/p>\n
