While Planned Parenthood presents itself as a health care provider, doctors who have attempted to lead the organization to shift away from an emphasis on abortion toward offering actual, comprehensive health care have met with untimely<\/a> ends to their Planned Parenthood\u00a0careers<\/a>. Though the corporation has for years claimed that abortion comprises only 3-4% of its total annual services<\/a>, the means for arriving at such a claim appeared dubious even to the Washington Post, which once fact checked<\/a> the claim, calling it “misleading.”<\/p>\n

In reality, Planned Parenthood needs<\/em> abortions to continue at its facilities in order to remain open.<\/p>\n

Since 2000, Planned Parenthood alone has reported having committed 6.4 million abortions \u2014 and during that same time, American taxpayers were forced to send over\u00a0$9.3 billion<\/em> to the abortion corporation. And though Planned Parenthood has lost nearly a million donors in recent years, it still managed to raise over $7.2 billion in private contributions since 2000.<\/p>\n

Abortions rise to 6.4 million\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since 2000, nearly 23 million abortions were committed overall nationally; during that same time, Planned Parenthood’s share of those abortions rose to nearly 6.4 million \u2014 comprising\u00a0nearly a fourth of the nation’s total abortions.<\/p>\n

In addition, Planned Parenthood abortions have skyrocketed over 197%\u00a0from the 129,000 the organization recorded in 1991 to\u00a0a whopping 383,460 abortions recorded in its\u00a02020-2021 annual report<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 the highest number of abortions ever committed by the corporation in one year.<\/p>\n

Currently, Planned Parenthood alone<\/em> commits over 41% of the nation’s total abortions, making it the nation’s largest abortion business.<\/p>\n

Taxpayer dollars reach $9.3 billion\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since 2000, Planned Parenthood has received over $9.3 billion from the American taxpayer \u2014\u00a0yet while government funding to the organization has increased year after year, actual health services, clients, and facilities have been on the\u00a0decrease<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Government revenue from taxpayer dollars currently makes up 37% of Planned Parenthood\u2019s total revenue, according to its\u00a02020-2021 annual report<\/a>. Since 1991, taxpayer dollars flowing into Planned Parenthood have risen a whopping 411%, (up $500 million from the $124 million it received in 1991 to\u00a0the $633.4 million it received in the year ending June 30, 2021).<\/p>\n

And as Live Action News previously<\/a> documented, Planned Parenthood’s most recent report reveals that the organization pocketed nearly $134 million ($133.7) in\u00a0excess<\/em>\u00a0revenue while its\u00a0net assets<\/a>\u00a0have risen to over $2.5 billion.<\/p>\n

While Planned Parenthood continues to receive increased government dollars, a new\u00a0report<\/a>\u00a0has found that 36% of all U.S. counties are \u201cmaternity care deserts<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Private contributions hit $7.2 billion\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The number of Planned Parenthood donors has declined in recent years, yet since 2000, Planned Parenthood has been able to raise over $7.2 billion from private “contributors.” Planned Parenthood’\u00a0latest\u00a02020-2021 report<\/a>\u00a0recorded 590,000 \u201ccontributors\u201d \u2014 the same number of donors recorded<\/a>\u00a0by the corporation\u00a0in 2019.<\/p>\n

But the corporation’s donors decreased nearly 16% from the 700,000 reported in 2000 and decreased a whopping 61% from the 1.5 million reported in 2017-18. This means that between 2017 and 2020, Planned Parenthood lost nearly one million<\/em><\/strong> donors (910,000). And still, the dollars flowing to the corporation continue to increase.<\/p>\n

Pro-abortion philanthropists fund Planned Parenthood\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The abortion organization rarely publishes the names of its donors, but in the few occasions where it did, it revealed that the abortion corporation was being undergirded by a handful of pro-abortion philanthropists.<\/p>\n
