Wade<\/em> nation, with women reportedly traveling to the state from as far as Texas and Louisiana for abortions up to the 20th week of pregnancy. Iowa&#8217;s abortion status could change if the 2019 injunction is lifted from the state&#8217;s &#8220;heartbeat bill.&#8221; Following <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/news.bloomberglaw.com\/litigation\/iowa-heartbeat-abortion-ban-heads-to-trial-court-showdown\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">trial court proceedings<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on Friday, October 28, that decision will lie in the hands of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iowacourts.gov\/iowa-courts\/district-court\/judicial-district-5\/judges-and-magistrates\/celene-gogerty\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Celene Gogerty<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Polk County District Court Judge, who is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iowartl.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/2020-Judges-Standing-for-Retention.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not registered<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a political party.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite allowing unfettered abortion access through the first 20 weeks of pregnancy, an &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/local\/des-moines\/2022\/10\/17\/des-moines-abortion-rights-panel-educate-connect-people?stream=top\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">abortion rights panel<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8221; has been scheduled in Des Moines, Iowa&#8217;s capital city. It will be held on November 7, the evening before Election Day. The stated goal of &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/iowa-lets-talk-reproductive-rights-tickets-410225203627\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Iowa: Let&#8217;s Talk Reproductive Rights<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8221; is<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to &#8220;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">educate and empower the next generation of advocates in Iowa.&#8221; Seating capacity for the venue&#8217;s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/willowongrand.com\/venue\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">largest space<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is no more than 300 people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Event &#8216;experts&#8217; include former Planned Parenthood CEO<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organizers have put together a group of &#8220;community members&#8221; who are &#8220;subject matter experts on reproductive rights&#8221; that will expand &#8220;understanding of the issue, address knowledge gaps and find pathways to productively move the needle forward.&#8221; Billed as &#8220;non-partisan,&#8221; the event is meant to be &#8220;inclusive of anyone who is passionate about advocating for reproductive rights in Iowa.&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first panel will be moderated by Suzanna de Baca, current CEO for Business Publication Corporation, who is better known as the now former-CEO of Iowa&#8217;s abortion chain (previously listed as Planned Parenthood of the Heartland). At the time, based in Des Moines, the affiliate was running <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nebraskapublicmedia.org\/ar\/news\/news-articles\/planned-parenthood-expansion-incites-strong-reactions-statewide\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">abortion sites<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Iowa, Nebraska, Arkansas and some in Oklahoma. They hired de Baca despite the fact that she has no professional health experience. However, she is a well-trained financial specialist, once again exposing the corporation&#8217;s likely <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/iowartl.org\/for-immediate-release-pphs-replacement-for-jill-june-shows-its-still-about-the-money\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">profit motive<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Under her brief tenure (2014-2018), she led the abortion giant until it was f<\/span>olded into the newly formed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/planned-parenthood-north-central-states\/get-care\/health-center-locations\">Planned Parenthood North Central States<\/a>, based in Minnesota.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second panel will be composed of &#8220;next generation activists.&#8221; Among others, a representative from Iowa&#8217;s Planned Parenthood is expected to attend.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Abortion program created and led by family member of profitable corporation<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This event is organized and led by Hannah Krause, wife of Tanner Krause, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.desmoinesregister.com\/story\/money\/business\/2020\/12\/01\/kum-go-ceo-kyle-krause-stepping-down-son-take-over-2021\/6473322002\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CEO of Kum &amp; Go<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> since 2021. A multi-billion-dollar convenience and gas station empire, Kum &amp; Go began in Iowa. At present, the company has\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapehero.com\/location-reports\/Kum%20&amp;%20Go-USA\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">390 stores in 11 states and territories<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, primarily located in the Midwest, Mountain West, and West South Central regions of the United States. In addition to Kum &amp; Go, the Krause family has several other national and international business endeavors under the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.krausegroup.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Krause Group<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> umbrella.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hannah Krause moved to Des Moines from Ohio seven years ago and is now the young mother of very young children. A graduate of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Loyola University Chicago, she became the owner of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/edeniowa.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eden<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the summer of 2020\u00a0\u2014 a<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">n &#8220;apothecary that takes pride in sourcing the best self-care products from around the world.&#8221; Her shop is located in Des Moines&#8217; popular, liberal East Village. She has received online support from celebrity and outspoken abortion activist, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.desmoinesregister.com\/story\/money\/business\/retail\/2020\/12\/11\/chrissy-teigen-promotes-des-moines-business-her-instagram-story\/3887230001\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chrissy Teigen<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Move, or stay and &#8216;make a difference&#8217; in promoting abortion?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At a time when Iowa is already an abortion sanctuary state, Krause is worried that the opportunity for killing preborn babies may not last there. When she learned that <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> might be overturned, her <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">initial response was to announce her plan to &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/local\/des-moines\/2022\/10\/17\/des-moines-abortion-rights-panel-educate-connect-people\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">move out of the state<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.&#8221; She claims she <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">never shared her pro-abortion views because she &#8220;didn&#8217;t think she had to.&#8221; However, instead of moving to another state, she decided <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that &#8220;with the resources available to her&#8221; she &#8220;could stay and try to make a difference.&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/desmoines.momcollective.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Des Moines Mom<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, an &#8220;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">authentic community and relationships both online and offline with moms in Des Moines,&#8221; highlighted Hannah earlier this summer, where she\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/desmoines.momcollective.com\/hannah-krause-eden-owner\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">expressed her feelings<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on motherhood. &#8220;While I don\u2019t necessarily feel that motherhood is one of my most defining identities as a person, I enjoy watching my kids learn and grow and love them with a fierceness I never knew existed.&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The popular blog also asked her what she &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/desmoines.momcollective.com\/hannah-krause-eden-owner\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">loved about raising a family in Des Moines<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.&#8221; Rather than share any aspect of what she loved about the capital city, however, she responded by discussing abortion. &#8220;At this moment in time, I have a lot of fear about raising my family in Des Moines. I worry that my daughter won\u2019t have adequate access to reproductive healthcare,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A euphemism for abortion, &#8220;reproductive healthcare&#8221; is the intentional killing of a preborn human being.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Hi-Kc5HLHP8\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Family members&#8217; abortion views vary\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After expressing her views, she shared that, as a couple, she and her husband have donated several thousand dollars to the current pro-abortion gubernatorial candidate. Her views stand in stark contrast to those of her in-laws, Kyle and Sharon Krause. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kyle Krause, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/tippie.uiowa.edu\/sites\/tippie.uiowa.edu\/files\/2022-05\/tab-kyle-krause.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">former-Chairman and CEO<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the billion-dollar Kum &amp; Go corporation, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.desmoinesregister.com\/story\/money\/business\/2020\/12\/01\/kum-go-ceo-kyle-krause-stepping-down-son-take-over-2021\/6473322002\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">stepped down<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at the end of 2020, allowing son Tanner to assume the position of authority. Kyle remains<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the current Chairman and CEO of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.krausegroup.com\/about-us\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Krause Group<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Kum &amp; Go&#8217;s parent company.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A well-known business magnate, Kyle and his wife are long-time major donors to many pro-life, pro-family <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.campaignmoney.com\/political\/contributions\/kyle-krause.asp?cycle=16\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">political campaigns<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Out of touch with the Millennial generation<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hannah and Tanner Krause are Millennials \u2014 and abortion has killed an estimated <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/50-million-millennial-genz-dead-abortion\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">24,514,400 preborn children<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of their generation. The nearly 25 million dead babies are more people than the population of Florida and exceeds the populations in all but two American states.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/studentsforlife.org\/2021\/01\/26\/new-poll-millennials-and-gen-z-more-pro-life-than-pop-culture-would-have-you-believe\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">polled<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, more<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> than 7 out of 10 millennials support limiting abortion and the majority also opposed the <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> decision when they learned it allowed for abortion through all nine months of pregnancy. <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/roe-v-wade-next-pro-life\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">overturned<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on June 24, 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With their push for increased abortion access, the younger Krauses are out of step even with their own generation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jenifer Bowen, a long-time leader in the pro-life movement, including a long tenure as CEO of Iowa Right to Life, was diagnosed in 2019 with a lifelong battle of Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer.
