Live Action’s Can’t Stay Silent<\/a> campaign is sharing the stories of women who are rediscovering their voices and speaking out about how abortion harmed them. One of these women is Patty, who said she would have made a different choice if she had known there was an option other than abortion.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Alternatives Pregnancy Center for its My Choice, My Story<\/a> platform, Patty spoke about her decision to have an abortion in the 1970s. She was newly married with two children, and found herself pregnant almost immediately after getting married. “My husband comes home shortly after that and he says, ‘I don’t want this child, or I don’t want you,'” she recalled. “And I was devastated. I just stood there \u2014 I didn’t know what to do. And so, he packed up, he left.”<\/p>\n
