(The Daily Signal<\/a>)\u00a0The Federal Bureau of Investigation will not share whether it has made any arrests related to attacks on pro-life centers, organizations, and Catholic churches following the leak of the Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade.<\/p>\n

At least 83 Catholic churches<\/a> and 73 pregnancy resource centers<\/a> or pro-life organizations have been attacked since the draft opinion was leaked in May. And some of these pro-life centers and organizations have told The Daily Signal that they have not heard anything from federal authorities.<\/p>\n

The FBI confirmed this week to The Daily Signal that it is investigating \u201ca series of attacks and threats targeting pregnancy resource centers, faith-based organizations, and reproductive health clinics across the country, as well as to judicial buildings, including the U.S. Supreme Court.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe incidents are being investigated as potential acts of domestic violent extremism, FACE Act [Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act] violations, or violent crime matters, depending on the facts of each case,\u201d the statement said. \u201cThe FBI takes all violence and threats of violence very seriously and we are working closely with our law enforcement partners at the national, state, and local levels to investigate these incidents.\u201d<\/p>\n

This statement is almost identical to one that the FBI gave The Daily Wire in mid-June<\/a>, four months ago, as attacks on pregnancy centers escalated. The militant abortion group Jane\u2019s Revenge has claimed responsibility for many of these attacks and threatened more if pro-life work does not cease. The FBI would not specifically comment on Jane\u2019s Revenge to The Daily Wire in June, and it is unclear how organized this group is.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s open season, and we know where your operations are,\u201d Jane\u2019s Revenge warned<\/a> over the summer.<\/p>\n

When The Daily Signal pressed the FBI for more information this week, referencing the recent arrest of a Catholic, pro-life activist, national press officer Christina Pullen repeatedly said the FBI does \u201cnot have any information to add\u201d to its old statement. She also would not say whether the FBI has made any arrests related to these attacks and threats.<\/p>\n

The Daily Signal also asked the FBI to address precisely how many attacks and threats it is investigating that specifically targeted pregnancy resource centers, as well as how many attacks and threats it is investigating that specifically targeted faith-based institutions, and how many attacks and threats it is investigating that specifically targeted abortion clinics.<\/p>\n

The FBI would not address these questions. The bureau\u2019s refusal to provide more information on the matter is particularly notable in light of the FBI\u2019s dramatic arrest of Mark Houck, a Catholic father who allegedly pushed a pro-abortion activist for allegedly harassing his son while they were praying outside an abortion clinic.<\/p>\n

This arrest might fall under the FBI\u2019s reference to attacks and threats on reproductive health clinics, but the bureau would not comment on Houck to The Daily Signal.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, pro-life centers and organizations that were attacked over the summer in the fallout of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization leak, like Concerned Women for America<\/a>, tell The Daily Signal that they have not heard from the FBI. The organization\u2019s office was vandalized by a man who reportedly ripped up its security system, flipped off its camera, and urinated on the door (prompting the group to file a hate crime report with the FBI).<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know that President [Joe] Biden specifically singled out abortion clinics for protection from the federal government, but we have not heard the Biden administration say one word about supporting pregnancy care centers,\u201d Concerned Women for America President Penny Nance said in a phone interview.<\/p>\n

\u201cI agree that it\u2019s domestic terrorism that is impacting these pregnancy care centers, but I don\u2019t have any suggestion from any of them or any of our own experience in which the FBI came to our defense,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

A vandal or vandals dumped a bucket of red paint on the Washington, D.C.-based Capitol Hill Crisis Pregnancy Center in June, spray-painted the words \u201cJane\u2019s Revenge\u201d on the wall of the center, and egged the windows. The center is filled with baby clothing, baby food, and resources for D.C.-area parents who come to the center hoping they can find help rather than resorting to abortion.<\/p>\n
