In a <\/span>pro-abortion book<\/span><\/a>, author Rosie Waterland wrote about her abortion.\u00a0<\/span>She recalls getting pregnant through a \u201crandom hookup\u201d with a man she saw on a train, saying, \u201cI didn’t have this guy’s number; I didn’t even know his last name.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>The baby\u2019s father likely never knew she aborted his child.<\/span><\/p>\n

Waterland referred to her pregnancy as a \u201chostile takeover\u201d and her child as \u201cthis thing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

At the facility, she was told that general anesthesia would cost $400, doubling the cost of the abortion. She decided to have \u201ctwilight sedation\u201d instead.\u00a0<\/span>The abortion worker told her there would be no pain, just \u201cdiscomfort.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>But the abortion was extremely painful:<\/span><\/p>\n

I was suddenly very aware of immense pain in my body. It felt like someone was inserting a blunt knitting needle in and out of my vagina. It was being inserted deep, and fast, and I wanted it to stop. I was confused, and I couldn’t open my eyes\u2026 The pain was excruciating\u2026 I felt like something long, thin, and hard was repeatedly being shoved deep into my vagina. It was excruciating.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Waterland says of her story, \u201cI hate saying that, because I don’t want to scare any woman who makes the choice to abort a pregnancy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She isn\u2019t the only woman who was deceived by abortion counselors about how painful her abortion would be.<\/span><\/p>\n

Women describe painful abortions<\/b><\/p>\n

One woman says that when she asked an abortion worker if her abortion would hurt, <\/span>the worker said<\/span><\/a> she\u2019d feel \u201cpressure and then something that felt like menstrual cramps.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But the abortion was \u201cthe most excruciating pain I have ever experienced in my life. I could feel the baby being ripped from my womb. I yelled in pain and the nurse told me to relax \u2013 that I was tightening up \u2013 and to stay quiet.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Another woman\u2019s <\/span>abortion left her<\/span><\/a> \u201cblanched and hyperventilating.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

A third women <\/span>described her abortion as<\/span><\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

[O]ne of the most painful experiences I\u2019ve ever had\u2026 I can\u2019t describe the pain, the nurse\/assistant was holding my hands and reminding me to breathe. I\u2019m almost in tears thinking of what I went through.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Afterwards, she says, \u201cThey wouldn\u2019t even give me a Tylenol when I asked.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Another woman said<\/span><\/a>, \u201cI was informed that it wasn\u2019t going to hurt and it was the most painful thing I ever experience[d] to date. I remember the nurses telling me to be quiet so that I don\u2019t scare the other patients.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

An abortionist <\/span>who had an abortion felt<\/span><\/a> \u201c<\/span>pain that I didn\u2019t know was possible\u2026 You feel absolutely fine, and then you suddenly feel attacked by this person between your legs.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Another woman recalled<\/span><\/a>, \u201cIt hurts so much. It was incredible\u2026 They should have told me how much it was going to hurt.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

A <\/span>seventh woman said<\/span><\/a>, \u201cI began crying in pain, and as I lifted the sheets there was blood everywhere. The pain was unbearable, it was like a knife kept stabbing me in the stomach over and over again.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And <\/span>another said<\/span><\/a>, \u201cGod, the pain. I was screaming and the doctor was getting worried. \u201cHang on,\u201d he kept saying, \u201cIt\u2019ll be over in just a minute.\u201d I kept screaming back, \u2018You said there\u2019d be no pain and you lied!\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
