Pro-life actress <\/span>Patricia Heaton<\/span><\/a> has been very active on <\/span>Twitter<\/span><\/a> lately, boldly jousting with abortion defenders on the topic of pregnancy centers. After Senator Elizabeth Warren <\/span>tweeted<\/span><\/a> about a <\/span>bill<\/span><\/a> she co-authored with Senator Bob Menendez designed to, in her words, \u201ccrack down\u201d on pregnancy resource centers, Heaton noted that Warren\u2019s rhetoric was fueling the flames of <\/span>violence<\/span><\/a> against pregnancy centers like hers. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBecause of people like @SenWarren we now have to hire armed security,\u201d Heaton <\/span>tweeted<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Several people attempted to attack Heaton\u2019s comments afterward, but she replied with calm facts and cool confidence. One poster <\/span>alleged<\/span><\/a> that \u201cthose places [i.e. pregnancy centers] are notorious for misrepresenting their goals and a woman’s options,\u201d to which Heaton replied, \u201cNo one has ever died from visiting a pregnancy clinic.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Another poster <\/span>suggested<\/span><\/a> that \u201cIf you don\u2019t provide abortion care to women who need it, you\u2019re not providing health care.\u201d Heaton countered: \u201cP[lanned] P[arenthood] provides no pre or postnatal care for women – do you demand the same of them? Should they provide free ultrasounds, diapers, medical care for pregnant women who want to keep their babies?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Several respondents attempted to suggest that Planned Parenthood <\/span>does<\/span><\/i>, in fact, provide those services, but a Live Action <\/span>investigation<\/span><\/a> proved that these services are all but nonexistent at their facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n
