For more than two decades, the manufacturing location sites of abortion pill manufacturer Danco Laboratories have been undisclosed<\/a>, as have the company’s executives, investors and office locations.\u00a0But according to a recent\u00a0ABC News interview<\/a> with Danco spokespersons,\u00a0the deadly abortion drug is currently being manufactured in Europe, not China,<\/em> as was reported in years past.<\/p>\n

Despite the fact that abortion drugs are marketed and sold to minors, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has repeatedly refused to divulge its manufacturing locations. “The FDA concluded that there is a risk that individuals associated with the development, marketing and distribution of mifepristone for medical termination of early pregnancy may become the targets of threats of harm or violence,” the agency told ABC News in a statement. “Therefore, the agency does not disclose the names or locations of such individuals.”<\/p>\n

But according to the same ABC News report, a spokesperson for Danco admitted the drug was manufactured in Europe.<\/p>\n

“Danco will only disclose that the company’s headquarters is located in New York City, while the drug itself is produced out of facilities in Europe that are inspected by U.S. federal officials,” Danco’s spokesperson told<\/a> ABC News.<\/p>\n

Abortion pill previously manufactured in China<\/strong><\/p>\n

In\u00a01993<\/a>, President Clinton\u00a0signed<\/a>\u00a0an executive order directing the FDA to expedite marketing of RU-486.\u00a0In 1994, his administration pressured the French pharmaceutical\u00a0manufacturer Roussel-Uclaf to assign the\u00a0U.S. rights<\/a>\u00a0of marketing and\u00a0distribution<\/a>\u00a0to the\u00a0Population Council<\/a>. This\u00a0eugenics-founded<\/a>\u00a0\u201cnon-profit\u201d\u00a0brought<\/a>\u00a0the abortion pill into the U.S. and\u00a0later<\/a>\u00a0set up<\/a>\u00a0the pill\u2019s manufacturer,\u00a0Danco Laboratories, LLC,<\/a>\u00a0a\u00a0sub-licensee<\/a>\u00a0of the Population Council.<\/p>\n

In 2000<\/a>, China officials confirmed the Shanghai-based Hua Lian Pharmaceutical Co. was manufacturing the raw compound for RU-486, as the abortion pill was called at the time. This\u00a0pharmaceutical company was owned\u00a0by the Chinese Communist Party.\u00a0 The Los Angeles Times also confirmed the location,\u00a0writing<\/a>,\u00a0\u201cDanco refuses to release the names of its executives and investors. The company even persuaded the Food and Drug Administration to keep secret the location of the factory where the abortion drug will be produced,\u00a0despite several published reports that it will be made in bulk at the state-owned Hua Lian Pharmaceutical Co. in Shanghai.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2008, Hua Lian distributed contaminated leukemia drugs that paralyzed at least 200 Chinese cancer patients, according to a report\u00a0published<\/a>\u00a0in the New York Times. The contaminated drug problem was such a concern that even abortion corporation Planned Parenthood called on FDA officials<\/a> to investigate, writing, “The New York Times reported last week that Shanghai Pharmaceutical Group, and its subdivision, Shanghai Hualian, are under investigation for producing tainted leukemia drugs in China. Reports indicate that these drugs were not imported into the United States and that no other drugs produced by the company have been found to be faulty. Among the many drugs produced by Shanghai Hualian is mifepristone, one of two drugs used in medication abortion.”<\/p>\n

Generic abortion pill\u00a0tablets from India<\/strong><\/p>\n

On April 11, 2019, the FDA approved<\/a>\u00a0GenBioPro, Inc.\u2019s\u00a0abbreviated new drug application<\/a>\u00a0for a\u00a0generic Mifeprex. A May 2020\u00a0import report<\/a>\u00a0published at the FDA website shows that at one time GenBioPro<\/a> received mifepristone tablets from Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries, LTD. The\u00a0bill of lading import record<\/a>\u00a0shows the abortion drugs were shipped from Sun Pharmaceuticals\u2019 Mumbai location after departing from a port in Nhava Sheva, India. The drugs were shipped to GenBioPro\u2019s Nevada office in Las Vegas\u00a0after landing at a port in the New York\/Newark Area of Newark, New Jersey, according to a previous<\/a> Live Action News report.<\/p>\n

While Sun Pharma\u00a0manufactures<\/a>\u00a0abortion drugs for a number of countries, it also\u00a0manufactures<\/a>\u00a0the UK version of the abortion pill called \u201cMedabon \u2013 Combipack\u201d under the subsidiary\u00a0Ranbaxy UK<\/a>. In an unrelated matter in 2013, Ranbaxy USA\u00a0pleaded guilty<\/a>\u00a0to felony charges relating to the manufacture and distribution of certain adulterated drugs made at two of Ranbaxy\u2019s manufacturing facilities in India and knowingly making material false statements to the FDA. According to\u00a0Reuters<\/a>, Sun Pharma acquired Ranbaxy in 2014 but the pharmaceutical company\u2019s website states the\u00a0merger<\/a>\u00a0was completed in March of 2015.<\/p>\n

Ample supply of pills post-Roe<\/strong><\/p>\n

A majority (54%) of all abortions are committed by the abortion pill, according to 2020\u00a0preliminary data<\/a>\u00a0from\u00a0the Guttmacher Institute. As a result,\u00a0the abortion industry is\u00a0estimated<\/a>\u00a0to be grossing $300 million annually from abortion pill sales. But should the Court overturn Roe v. Wade<\/em>, abortion pill sales are expected to skyrocket.<\/p>\n

Danco admitted to\u00a0ABC News<\/a>\u00a0that they have an ample supply of abortion pills should the demand surge following a Supreme Court opinion in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization<\/em> case.<\/p>\n

“We are prepared for any surge,” the unnamed spokesperson for Danco Laboratories said. “Our supply is stable and plentiful.”<\/p>\n

Danco also told ABC that it’s working with federal regulators to make the drug available in pharmacies by the end of the year.<\/p>\n

The abortion pill (Mifeprex or mifepristone) has tragically ended the lives of nearly five million preborn babies since 2000 when it was approved<\/a>\u00a0for use in a regimen with misoprostol.\u00a0Following serious adverse events and even deaths<\/a>, the drug was placed under a safety system known as REMS, which was\u00a0weakened<\/a>\u00a0last year when the Biden FDA allowed the drug to be permanently shipped by mail.<\/p>\n

As a result of the changes, all an aspiring\u00a0abortion industry opportunist<\/a>\u00a0needs to sell abortion pills is a phone, a computer, and a partnership with an\u00a0online pharmacy<\/a>. This enables<\/a> abortion facilities to increase profits by eliminating facilities and staff as well as testing and labs, and\u00a0drastically reducing<\/a>\u00a0the time spent with clients.<\/p>\n
