Bowen <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Producer_Cass\/status\/1521812649062846464\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shared her birth story<\/a> in response to the <em>Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/pregnancyhelpnews.com\/breaking-scotus-will-overturn-roe-v-wade-leaked-draft-opinion-shows\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">leak two days day prior<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was adopted out of a crisis pregnancy,\u201d Bowen said. \u201cMy birthmother was raped at 13.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/pressured-abort-rape-amy-chose-life\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pressured to abort after rape, Amy chose life for her son with no regrets<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Her birth mother\u2019s story occurred in 1998 in rural Missouri.<\/p>\n<p>Bowen\u2019s mom was in sixth grade when a 16-year-old boy asked her on a date. Excited that an older boy was interested in her, the young [mother] said yes. The date ended in an attack in the backseat of his car that left her pregnant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe didn\u2019t think she could be pregnant,\u201d Bowen said.<\/p>\n<p>Her birth mother later confided in a youth pastor at her church. The pastor knew a family who was longing to adopt.<\/p>\n<p>After some lengthy discussions, the 13-year-old set up the adoption with Bowen\u2019s adoptive parents.<\/p>\n<p>That fall she entered the seventh grade visibly pregnant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe chose to carry a baby in a small town where something like this was frowned upon,\u201d Bowen told <em>Pregnancy Help News<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Years later when Bowen was a teen herself, she searched for her birth mother on Facebook. The two began an online relationship and met in person in 2021.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/rape-survivor-chose-life-powerful\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rape survivor: \u2018Every woman is strong enough\u2019 to choose life instead of abortion<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was able to live a fulfilling life,\u201d Bowen said. \u201cShe is a Navy vet and has four more children of her own.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bowen, too, has led a fulfilling life.<\/p>\n<p>She graduated with a criminal justice degree from College of the Ozarks in Branson, she is executive producer of the radio talk show in Springfield and also communications director for Missouri State Senator Eric Burleson who is running for U.S. Senate.<\/p>\n<p>Bowen is vocal about her pro-life stance, openly supporting her local pregnancy center fundraisers and speaking at events.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, her May 4 tweet should have surprised no one.<\/p>\n<p>The left came out viciously, however, as the hot topic of abortion had become even hotter after the May 2 Dobbs leak.<\/p>\n<p>Bowen went on to tweet in response to the negative responses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/pregnant-brutal-rape-baby-brought-hope-husband\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pregnant after a brutal rape: \u2018For the first time I felt hope and I felt joy\u2019<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is absolutely nothing a pro-abortion person can comment on my earlier tweet today that will change my mind on being pro-life,\u201d Bowen <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Producer_Cass\/status\/1521911080431218688\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>. \u201cI will never stop fighting for life, even if I never stop receiving messages from people saying that I should have been aborted. #ProLife #blocked.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was brutal,\u201d Bowen told <em>Pregnancy Help News<\/em> a week after the responses. \u201cI was getting comments, not just pro-choice but strictly pro-abortion. I put it out there that your arguments are not valid points.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bowen went to say she is the \u201cproduct of a niche trend scenario.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was able to have a fulfilling life,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Bowen noted the point that some babies are \u201cborn into situations where they are set up to fail.\u201d She argues, however that, \u201cThe sovereignty of life trumps all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The backlash and vicious words do not hurt her, she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt just exposes the evil of the pro-choice platform,\u201d said Bowen. \u201cYou\u2019re in the comment section saying things like, \u2018So what? Boston is not surprised Bowen received such attacks, but said her story is one of success.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCass\u2019s life, while it started in a heartbreaking way, is one of high impact and high value,\u201d Boston said. \u201cShe makes a difference in southwest Missouri, and I experienced it while starting and working at Pregnancy Care Center for almost 20 years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCass uses her voice for families, for things that are good, true, and just,\u201d said Boston. \u201cAnd Cass defends life for the voiceless while supporting moms who boldly carry their babies and place them in the loving arms of an adoptive couple just like her mother did for her many years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While there are many who accept the pro-life stance \u201cwith the exception of rape,\u201d Bowen is an example of life after trauma.<\/p>\n<p>Boston said it is a story that needs to be told.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe grieve for women who have been violated, and as a result, have many heart-wrenching steps to take,\u201d she said, \u201clike stepping toward forgiveness, emotional healing and choosing to live life despite the tragic event.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn rare cases, some of these brave women must also make a pregnancy decision,\u201d said Boston.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCass\u2019s mom chose to embrace the life of her child,\u201d Boston said. \u201cShe courageous and selflessly carried her baby knowing the baby in her womb was part of her.
