The mayor of Lebanon, Ohio has declared May 25 to be “Pro-Life Day” in the city one year after it passed an ordinance to become a sanctuary city<\/a> for the unborn.<\/p>\n

“I’m honored to present this proclamation to you,” said<\/a> Mayor Mark Messer on Tuesday at Lebanon City Hall. “Whereas every child has the right to life and that life was created at the moment of conception with a unique human nature, genetic identity and limitless potential … I do hereby proclaim May 25, 2022 and every year, as Pro-Life Day.”<\/p>\n

Abortionists and abortion groups are banned from establishing abortion businesses in Lebanon and anyone who violates that rule could spend six months in jail and face a fine of $1,000. The ordinance is being challenged in court, according to WVXU, but so far has not been enforced on anyone, according to Adam Mathews, the city’s vice mayor.<\/p>\n
