It has been 43 days<\/em> since the Metropolitan Police Department has obtained the bodies of five aborted children in Washington, D.C., whom\u00a0experts have said<\/a> were far enough along in gestational age to have been able to survive outside of the womb. There have been no statements or updates from D.C. authorities as to any investigation taking place; seemingly, Santangelo’s potential crimes have been swept under the rug, and the atrocities committed upon these children ignored.<\/p>\n

Over 100 children discovered, five handed over to police<\/strong><\/p>\n

In late March, pro-life activists from the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU) discovered evidence of potential illegal late-term abortions and infanticide taking place at Washington Surgi-Center in Washington, D.C., the business of abortionist Cesare Santangelo. After recovering over 100 preborn children, including five who were victims of late-term abortions, the majority of the bodies were given a respectful burial and funeral Mass.<\/p>\n

The rest were taken by the Metropolitan Police Department, ostensibly for investigation purposes, on March 30. But after more than 40 days have passed, it seems no action taken to investigate the deaths of these five children, some of whom appear to have been victims of illegal late-term abortions.<\/p>\n

Victims of potential illegal abortions and infanticide<\/strong><\/p>\n

On March 25<\/a>, PAAU Founder and Executive Director Terrisa Bukovinac and PAAU Director of Activism Lauren Handy went to Washington Surgi-Center to engage in pro-life advocacy. Instead, they were confronted with boxes being wheeled out of the facility, marked with biohazard symbols, and loaded into a Curtis Bay Medical Waste Services truck. In a press conference<\/a>, Handy and Bukovinac said the driver gave them permission to take one of the boxes, which they took to Handy’s apartment.<\/p>\n

There, with a Catholic deacon present, Bukovinac and Handy say they opened the boxes, finding the bodies of the babies inside. All of the children were given names; one, named Harriet, was an intact baby girl who showed signs of being the victim of an illegal partial-birth abortion. Other intact children showed signs of possibly being the victims of infanticide. While speaking to a Live Action undercover investigator, Santangelo said his preferred late-term abortion method was to cut the umbilical cord and wait for the child to die by cardiac arrest.<\/p>\n

If a child were to survive an abortion, Santangelo admitted that he and his staff \u201cwould not help it\u201d survive.<\/p>\n
