In addition, several cases have emerged which suggest that abortion industry profiteers may not be properly assessing the gestational age of the pregnancies, resulting in the deaths of babies much later in pregnancy as a result of abortion drugs.<\/p>\n<p>The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/reproductivehealth\/data_stats\/abortion.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2019<\/a>\u00a0over 900 &#8220;medical&#8221; (chemical) abortions were reported to have been committed <em>at or over<\/em> 14 weeks of pregnancy, according to 42 reporting areas (excluding California, District of Columbia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York State, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin).<\/p>\n<p>The 2019 numbers (see below) were slightly under the number reported in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/69\/ss\/ss6907a1.htm#T13_down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018<\/a>, but greater than the 766 reported in 2016.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>14-15 weeks:<\/strong>\u00a0109 chemical abortions <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/70\/ss\/ss7009a1.htm#T13_down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> to CDC in 2019 and 232 in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/69\/ss\/ss6907a1.htm#T13_down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018,<\/a>\u00a0and 145 in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/68\/ss\/ss6811a1.htm#T12_down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2016<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>16-17 weeks:<\/strong>\u00a094 chemical abortions <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/70\/ss\/ss7009a1.htm#T13_down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> to CDC in 2019 and 168 in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/69\/ss\/ss6907a1.htm#T13_down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018,<\/a>\u00a0and 121 in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/68\/ss\/ss6811a1.htm#T12_down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2016<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>18-20 weeks:<\/strong>\u00a0185 chemical abortions <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/70\/ss\/ss7009a1.htm#T13_down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> to CDC in 2019 and 274 in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/69\/ss\/ss6907a1.htm#T13_down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018,<\/a>\u00a0and 205 in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/68\/ss\/ss6811a1.htm#T12_down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2016<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>21 weeks or greater:<\/strong>\u00a0545 chemical abortions <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/70\/ss\/ss7009a1.htm#T13_down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> to CDC in 2019 and 334 in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/69\/ss\/ss6907a1.htm#T13_down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018,<\/a>\u00a0and 295 in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/68\/ss\/ss6811a1.htm#T12_down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2016<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to the CDC, &#8220;The administration of medication or medications to induce an abortion; at \u22649 weeks\u2019 gestation, typically involves the use of mifepristone and misoprostol, and at &gt;9 weeks\u2019 gestation, typically involves the use of vaginal prostaglandins.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Misdiagnosed gestational age or coercion resulting in late abortions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Due to a lack of accurate gestational assessments, incompetency, and even deliberate flouting of the FDA&#8217;s limits, horrific cases are occurring, with babies killed later in pregnancy. In some cases, the pregnant woman was administered these abortion drugs without her consent.<\/p>\n<p>These cases are also occurring in other countries including the UK, which has a\u00a010-week cut off for \u2018DIY\u2019 home abortions. A recent BBC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/health-60912656\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a>\u00a0noted that &#8220;[t]he National Network of Designated Health Care Professionals (NNDHP), which represents senior NHS doctors and nurses who fulfill child-safeguarding roles in England, has recorded 47 cases of early medical abortions that actually resulted in <strong>mid- to late-pregnancy terminations<\/strong>, across all ages, since the start of the pandemic, in March 2020.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>17 weeks:<\/strong> Former doctor\u00a0Sikander Imran\u00a0spiked his pregnant girlfriend&#8217;s drink with abortion inducing drugs while she was carrying his child at 17 weeks, and she miscarried hours later. He was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/sikander-imran-doctor-sentenced-for-spiking-girlfriends-drink-to-induce-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sentenced<\/a> to three years in prison. The UK Daily Mail <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-5753521\/Doctor-spiked-pregnant-girlfriends-drink-abortion-pills-jailed.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> that doctors conducted a blood test after the heartbreaking loss and found an excessive amount of misoprostol (the second drug of the abortion pill regimen) in her system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>18 weeks:<\/strong>\u00a0A Gynuity\u00a0Health Projects sponsored &#8220;clinical trial&#8221; experiment <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/second-trimester-abortion-pill-target-women-colombia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">targeted<\/a> Latin American women in Colombia for the abortion pill who were from 13 to 18 weeks gestation. The trial was <a href=\"https:\/\/clinicaltrials.gov\/ct2\/show\/NCT04063904\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">terminated<\/a>\u00a0in <a href=\"https:\/\/clinicaltrials.gov\/ct2\/history\/NCT04063904?A=1&amp;B=3&amp;C=Side-by-Side#StudyPageTop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">July of 2021<\/a>, citing &#8220;difficulties with recruitment, COVID 19 pandemic.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">In a separate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC8016219\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">study<\/a>, a teaching hospital in\u00a0Ethiopia used the abortion pill regimen to end the lives of 68 preborn children aged 13 to 15.6 weeks, 47 between the ages of 16 and 17.6 weeks, and 104 from 18 to 20.6 weeks gestation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>20-21 Weeks:<\/strong>\u00a0A <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/miscalculated-telemed-abortion-20-week-baby\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sixteen-year-old girl in the UK<\/a> was given only a phone consultation for the purchase of abortion pills at British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS), which determined that she was less than eight (8) weeks pregnant. According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/health-60912656\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> in the BBC, after the pregnant teen took the pills, she felt &#8220;really bad&#8221; pain and needed to push. She was transferred by ambulance to the hospital where it was concluded she had been <strong>between 20 and 21 weeks pregnant.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>22 weeks:\u00a0<\/strong>A <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/lawsuit.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lawsuit<\/a>\u00a0filed against Planned Parenthood of Southern New England\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-abortion-pill-22-week\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">alleges<\/a> that the assessment of the abortion corporation&#8217;s certified nurse midwife (CNM) Gannon Ward was so egregiously off that she misdated a late pregnancy at just six weeks and three days, claiming there was no fetus was visible \u2013 only an empty sac. The pregnant woman who was sold an abortion pill gave\u00a0birth two days later to a <strong>22-week stillborn baby boy <\/strong>whom she named Kyle Shawn Brady. He was delivered into a toilet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">In addition, Live Action News previously documented a\u00a0Gynuity\u00a0Health Projects-sponsored\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pacificprime.com\/country\/africa\/burkina-faso-health-insurance-pacific-prime-international\/\">clinical trial<\/a>\u00a0in the West African nation of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pacificprime.com\/country\/africa\/burkina-faso-health-insurance-pacific-prime-international\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Burkina Faso<\/a>, which was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortion-pill-study-second-trimester-minority\/\">recruiting<\/a>\u00a0children and adult women\u00a0for\u00a0<strong>later chemical\u00a0<\/strong><strong>abortions from 13-22 weeks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>24 weeks:\u00a0<\/strong>The British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) openly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bpas.org\/abortion-care\/what-to-expect-on-the-day\/abortion-pill-from-10-weeks-to-24-weeks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">advertises<\/a> use of the abortion pill regimen through 24 weeks of pregnancy. They add this caveat: &#8220;If your pregnancy is over 22 weeks\u2019 gestation you may also require feticide&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_267245\" style=\"width: 697px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-267245\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-267245\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/BPAS-abortion-pill-through-24-weeks.jpg\" alt=\"Image: BPAS abortion pill through 24 weeks\" width=\"687\" height=\"358\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/BPAS-abortion-pill-through-24-weeks.jpg 1267w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/BPAS-abortion-pill-through-24-weeks-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/BPAS-abortion-pill-through-24-weeks-768x401.jpg 768w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/BPAS-abortion-pill-through-24-weeks-700x365.jpg 700w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/BPAS-abortion-pill-through-24-weeks-500x261.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 687px) 100vw, 687px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-267245\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">BPAS abortion pill through 24 weeks<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>26 weeks:<\/strong> A woman on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/aba_aggrey\/status\/1518300479415013378\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> using the handle Aba released a long thread <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/baby-dies-26-weeks-abortion-drug-boyfriend\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">describing<\/a> how the father of her child allegedly slipped misoprostol to her without her knowledge; this eventually took the life of her baby at 26 weeks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>28 weeks:<\/strong> Last year in the UK, police\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/righttolife.org.uk\/news\/uk-police-investigate-diy-abortion-of-28-week-old-baby-using-bpas-pills-by-post-service\">investigated<\/a>\u00a0the death of a <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/uk-abortion-pills-mail-28-weeks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">28 week baby<\/a> who was stillborn after the mother was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/righttolife.org.uk\/news\/uk-police-investigate-diy-abortion-of-28-week-old-baby-using-bpas-pills-by-post-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mailed<\/a> abortion drugs under The British Pregnancy Advisory Service&#8217;s (BPAS) \u201cpills by post\u201d program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>30 weeks:\u00a0<\/strong>A\u00a0woman in the UK who was told she was just 12 weeks gestation when she took the abortion pill <strong>delivered her <a href=\"https:\/\/righttolife.org.uk\/news\/baby-born-alive-dies-days-after-mother-took-abortion-pill-at-30-weeks-doctors-thought-she-was-12-weeks-pregnant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">30 week baby<\/a> at home. <\/strong>The infant, named Ronnie by his parents, later\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-10711221\/Baby-died-doctors-gave-30-week-pregnant-mother-abortion-pill-thinking-12-weeks.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">died<\/a>. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.contraceptionjournal.org\/article\/S0010-7824(20)30149-9\/fulltext\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">study,<\/a>\u00a0which used abortion drugs from 24 to 35 weeks of pregnancy, &#8220;aimed to assess differences in time from misoprostol initiation to fetal expulsion by regimen group&#8221; but the abortionists &#8220;stopped administering mifepristone&#8221; a year later &#8220;because of a lack of perceived benefit,&#8221; authors wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The study was done by abortionists at Southwestern Women&#8217;s Options, the facility involved with the death of Keisha Atkins. \u00a0Atkins died following her legal abortion procedure in the second trimester, committed by SWO&#8217;s abortionists. Of note, the study&#8217;s authors mention a death of one of their study participants, writing, &#8220;One death (0.4%) occurred in a patient who received mifepristone and misoprostol who developed\u00a0shortness of breath during the induction.
