It is not uncommon to discover that abortion clients are being sent to nearby hotels while they await multi-day later abortion procedures. On occasion, it has even been documented that babies have been delivered into toilets at those hotels instead of at the abortion facilities. In addition, late-term abortion facilities partner with local hotels for preferred pricing and discounts for abortion clients.<\/p>\n

Abortion patient delivers baby into hotel toilet<\/strong><\/p>\n

A late-term abortion procedure committed on a nearly 23-week-old preborn baby ended with abortionist Shelley Sella delivering the infant inside a hotel room shortly after the procedure began, then transporting the baby in a \u201cbag\u201d back to the abortion facility.\u00a0Sella previously\u00a0worked<\/a>\u00a0for the late\u00a0George Tiller<\/a>\u00a0in Kansas, who also had arrangements with\u00a0local hotel operators<\/a>\u00a0to house his abortion clients.<\/p>\n

The horrific details were\u00a0unearthed in a court deposition in the rape case of\u00a0Eric Jerome Lacy<\/a>, \u00a0and were made public by Jamie Jeffries, owner of the blog\u00a0ProLifeWife<\/a>.\u00a0Sella admitted in her deposition to committing \u201ctens of thousands\u201d of abortions, worked for notorious late-term abortionist Curtis Boyd at Southwestern Women\u2019s Options (SWO) in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where the victim was taken, according to the deposition passed on to Live Action News<\/a> by Jeffries.<\/p>\n

According to the deposition, sometime during the evening, Sella said the facility received a call informing them that their client was in active labor at the hotel.<\/p>\n

\u201cEither her mother, or another person who was with her, called our on-call person; we have someone on call 24 hours a day, a phone counselor, and said that she was in labor. I was, then, called and I went to see her at the hotel\u2026. She was in active labor. She was in the bathroom, sitting on the toilet\u2026. So, what I did was I cut the cord, and I placed it in a bag,\u201d Sella stated.<\/p>\n

Sella confirmed that she brought the \u201cbag\u201d with her.\u00a0Nothing in the deposition indicated whether the baby was delivered dead or alive.<\/p>\n

Sella testified that she later placed the “products of conception” in a bag in the refrigerator at the abortion facility after labeling that bag with the patient\u2019s initials, date, and gender of the child.\u00a0Read the full account at Live Action News here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Advised to deliver in hotel toilet<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2013, Live Action\u00a0released<\/a>\u00a0undercover\u00a0video<\/a>\u00a0as part of the\u00a0InHuman<\/a>\u00a0investigative series\u00a0which exposed abortionists at Southwestern Women\u2019s Options in Albuquerque. In this investigation, SWO revealed its disturbing practice of leaving women alone in hotel rooms to deliver their dead children.<\/p>\n

An unnamed counselor at the facility advised<\/a> Live Action\u2019s 27-week-pregnant investigator:<\/p>\n

If we can\u2019t catch it [delivery of the dead baby \u2013 the final stage of the abortion procedure] early enough,\u00a0which has happened<\/b>\u00a0\u2026 then you\u2019ll want to unlock the door to the hotel room, get your cell phone, and just sit on the toilet.\u00a0 You don\u2019t have to look at anything \u2026 you can stay on the phone with us until the doctor and nurse get there[.]<\/em><\/p>\n

SWO abortion doctor Carmen Landau echoed this advice, telling the Live Action investigator to \u201csit on the toilet\u201d and \u201cunlock the hotel room.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJust sit there,\u201d Landau says, \u201cand you would not move until we come and get you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Special hotel rates for abortion clients<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Southwestern Women’s Options abortion facility told<\/a> another investigator that they “work in conjunction with” the Plaza Hotel in Albuquerque, which gives abortion clients a special rate, will pick clients up at the airport, and drive clients to their abortion appointments at no additional charge. And the hotel advised the investigator about how to handle things should she happen to go into labor during the night.<\/p>\n
