Although major pro-abortion organizations, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/womens-march-cancels-handmaids-tale-imagery-from-rally-over-its-use-by-white-women\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">including<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the Women\u2019s March Foundation, have recently begun to discourage the use of \u201chandmaid\u201d imagery, all six women who entered the church on Sunday were wearing the characteristic red-cloaked costumes over t-shirts proclaiming \u201cForced motherhood is enslavement.\u201d They carried signs featuring various messages, including \u201cBreak all the chains.\u201d They <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/riseup4abortion\/status\/1498098665776304128?s=20&amp;t=F0l1HYLuX9vzHFmHKupzzg\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">claimed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the purpose of their action was \u201cto indict the Catholic Church&#8217;s role in the push to ban abortion &amp; enslave women.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Cheers to those who dressed as  \u201cHandmaids\u201d and disrupted mass at St. Mary&#39;s Cathedral in SF to indict  the Catholic Church&#39;s role in the push to ban abortion &amp; enslave women. <\/p>\n<p>Take to the streets for abortion rights March 8 ? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/h1XWlkvASf\">https:\/\/t.co\/h1XWlkvASf<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/p4H7jgPclD\">pic.twitter.com\/p4H7jgPclD<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights (@riseup4abortion) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/riseup4abortion\/status\/1498098665776304128?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 28, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Representatives from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prolifesf.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pro-Life San Francisco<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.40daysforlife.com\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">40 Days for Life<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as well as other organizations and individuals were present in counterpoint. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prolifesf.com\/about\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kristin Turner<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Executive Director of Pro-Life San Francisco, was among them. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAt around 11am I noticed people starting to gather across the street, and about 15 minutes later I noticed they had started to put on handmaid costumes,\u201d Turner stated. \u201cAt around 11:30 they entered the church and approached the altar before being stopped by private security. They screamed at churchgoers that \u2018banning abortion is female enslavement.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The protesters were repeatedly asked to leave by private security, but failed to comply, and were physically escorted out. After being ejected, they gathered on the steps of the cathedral to continue their protest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cCameras [from the local media] were starting to come to them to film so I knew the pro-lifers needed to get in front,\u201d Turner recalled. \u201cI walked in front of their group with my sign, which is when they started to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CagFglhJi0B\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">attack<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> me. They took my sign and threw it multiple times, shoved me, [and] pushed my bullhorn into my face.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Private security broke up the group, which retreated to the courtyard sidewalk.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Members of Pro-Life San Francisco attempted civil discourse with the pro-abortion protesters, but, according to Turner, \u201cThe dialogue got nowhere as the pro-choicers used circular logic, dehumanizing rhetoric, and fallacious philosophy to justify violence against the unborn.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/liveactionnewsonline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cLike\u201d Live Action News on Facebook<\/a>\u00a0for more pro-life news and commentary!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday, February 27, pro-abortion protesters disrupted Mass at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption in San Francisco.
