The General Medical Council (GMC) referred Kearney\u2019s case to the interim orders tribunal, which ruled that the doctor had to stop offering the treatment. After a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mpts-uk.org\/hearings-and-decisions\/interim-orders-tribunals\/dr-dermot-patrick-kearney\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hearing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> last month, the tribunal determined the interim conditions should \u201cremain in place, subject to review.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.catholicnewsagency.com\/news\/250328\/catholic-doctor-to-challenge-abortion-pill-reversal-ban-at-uk-high-court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Catholic News Agency<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> reported, Kearney and his lawyers with the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/christianconcern.com\/about\/services\/christian-legal-centre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Christian Legal Centre<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are scheduled to appear before the Royal Courts of Justice on February 24, arguing that the interim order never should have been issued and must be lifted.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortion-allies-attack-abortion-pill-reversal-network\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">abortion pill reversal treatment<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Kearney provides involves administering progesterone, a naturally occurring pregnancy hormone used to prevent miscarriage or preterm birth, to women who have taken the first pill in the abortion pill regimen and regretted it. While the abortion industry claims the treatment is ineffective, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abortionpillreversal.com\/abortion-pill-reversal?gclid=CjwKCAjwoZWHBhBgEiwAiMN66VDIOlz9ZuuNxawO1XUCWuYwsoofMb5vrU-H8DJTZ2Rrm4Oz_GoZNxoCmO0QAvD_BwE\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abortion Pill Rescue Network<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> reports that it has saved more than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heartbeatinternational.org\/our-work\/apr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3,000 babies from abortion<\/a>. Progesterone has long been <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/doctors-miscarriages-hormone-scorned-abortion-pill-reversal\/\">safely administered to pregnant women<\/a> at risk of natural miscarriage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zhEMZSSsDRY\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe have seen many women immediately regret taking the first abortion pill. Dr. Kearney offers the possibility of saving the pregnancy when this happens. He should have the freedom to do it,\u201d said Andrea Williams, chief executive of the Christian Legal Centre. \u201cAbortion providers are putting women on a conveyer belt which means once they start the abortion process, they have to go through with it and are pressured to do so or left with no alternatives.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWomen should be properly informed, as a matter of course, that the baby\u2019s death is not inevitable after the first pill is taken,\u201d she added.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortion-pill-reversal-pregnancy-center-regrets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Pregnancy center helps to save life of baby after teen takes abortion pill and instantly regrets it<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Christian Legal Centre is also supporting a British woman who claims MSI Reproductive Choices UK (formerly known as Marie Stopes International) misrepresented what she said about Kearney after he provided her with the abortion pill reversal treatment. As <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/woman-upset-twisted-attack-abortion-pill-reversal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Live Action News<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> reported, the woman, known only as Kate, regretted taking the first abortion pill and contacted Kearney and MSI.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unfortunately, the treatment failed to stop the abortion, and Kate went to the hospital after suffering a difficult miscarriage. After MSI medical director Jonathan Lord asked Kate how she obtained the progesterone, she claims that Lord twisted her words and used them against Kearney.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MSI later used testimony like Kate\u2019s to file a complaint that Kearney was prescribing progesterone even though there is \u201cno evidence base\u201d behind it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cMarie Stopes are to blame for what happened to me, not Dr. Kearney,\u201d Kate said in a statement before the GMC. \u201cI have been used by them for this complaint and in so doing they have breached my confidentiality. I am still in touch with Dr. Kearney. He did not push anything on me \u2013 he just cared.
