An Illinois Planned Parenthood business is hoping to attract out-of-state women considering abortion with a new program that would pay for their expenses, including travel and childcare.<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri announced last week<\/a> that it will be opening a regional logistics center located at its Fairview Heights facility in Illinois. Women coming to the facility from other states will receive money for hotels, child care, and travel costs, and the move comes with a thumbs-up from the Illinois governor himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis center is a first of its kind within the Planned Parenthood Federation, and I\u2019m incredibly proud it\u2019s here in Illinois,\u201d Governor J.B. Pritzker said during a Zoom call celebrating the opening of the center, adding, \u201cWith reproductive rights under attack, it\u2019s never been more vital for the state of Illinois to ensure access to reproductive services.” The virtual event took place at the same time as the March for Life.<\/p>\n

Yamelsie Rodriguez, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri, said they also plan to do more, should Roe v. Wade<\/em> be overturned. “We are prepared to scale up the operations of the regional logistics center should the Supreme Court reverse protections under Roe, or restrict them even more,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

This type of regional logistics center is part of a new trend of businesses within the abortion chain \u2014 creating mega-facilities meant to attract thousands of women. Colleen McNicholas, abortionist and chief medical officer Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri, has admitted before Congress that\u00a0the idea of fetal “viability” is essentially whatever the abortionist wants it to be<\/a>, and admitted that her facility commits roughly 3,000 abortions a year. She refused to say how late in pregnancy she commits abortions.<\/p>\n

“Medicine is not black and white. I recognize in my 10 years of practice informs this opinion, that pregnancy can be really complicated, and given that there are pregnancies for which a fetus may never be viable, I think it\u2019s really important that we allow physicians and patients to have every medical resource to make decisions that are appropriate to them and their health,\u201d she said. \u201cEvery patient is different… I think you\u2019re forgetting that there are a number of reasons that go into patients\u2019 choice. At my clinic, I trust that women have a valid reason; every reason that they have is valid.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, “[A]bortion is moral, it is important, it is health care, and I support people being the experts in their own lives and making decisions for themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Across the state border in Missouri, Planned Parenthood has a facility in St. Louis, where\u00a0at least 75 women<\/a>\u00a0are known to have been injured, with at least four women suffering after the remains of aborted children were left inside them. One woman was almost killed there, and the facility has been found to have multiple health and safety violations<\/a>\u00a0including a lack of hand washing\u00a0between glove changes, violating infection protocols, and more.<\/p>\n
