The lifesaving <\/span>Abortion Pill Rescue Network<\/span><\/a>, managed by Heartbeat International, is celebrating a momentous new milestone \u2014 3,000 babies saved and counting. As the number of chemical abortions surge, APR is providing a lifeline for women trying to give their babies a second chance at life.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEach of these children are miracles walking among us!\u201d <\/span>said<\/span><\/a> Christa Brown, director of Medical Impact for Heartbeat International.<\/span><\/p>\n

This milestone is an important one. Just last month, the FDA authorized the abortion pill to be sold online and through the mail even though a recent <\/span>study<\/span><\/a> found that the rate of abortion pill-related ER visits for chemical abortions staggeringly increased 507% from 2002-2015. Commenting on the decision, Live Action president and founder Lila Rose <\/span>noted<\/span><\/a> that \u201cour own U.S. Postal Service will continue to be a lethal pipeline for both women and their children.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Sadly, nearly half of abortions in the United States are through chemical abortion, or the \u201cabortion pill.\u201d This regimen involves taking two drugs over the course of several days. The first drug is mifepristone, which blocks progesterone, depriving the baby of nutrients. The second drug is misoprostol, which causes strong contractions, causing the mother to expel her child’s body.<\/span><\/p>\n

The two drugs can be taken several days apart. In that time frame, some mothers may change their mind about the abortion. After taking the first pill in the series, women can potentially reverse the abortion by receiving progesterone injections and\/or pills from a physician as soon as possible. <\/span>Abortion Pill Reversal<\/span><\/a> is a promising option that has helped save thousands of babies.<\/span><\/p>\n

APR shared the following poignant statement from a mom who used the reversal procedure: \u201cAbortion Pill Reversal is the reason my son is alive. They were there when I realized how huge of a mistake I made when I took the first abortion pill. To this day, they still reach out and offer support and love!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Live Action News has reported on numerous instances of women who reported experiencing a change of heart after taking that first pill. Some of these cases ended well, like in the <\/span>case<\/span><\/a> of Rebekah Hagan, an 18-year-old college freshman and single mom who found herself unexpectedly pregnant again and turned to abortion in a panic. She took the first abortion pill and suddenly had a change of heart, leading her to search the Internet and find information on abortion pill reversal. She later delivered a healthy baby boy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sadly, there are other stories without happy endings. In one tragic story, a woman described taking the abortion pill and \u201c<\/span>freaking out<\/span><\/a>\u201d at the sight of her nine-week-old preborn child’s body. The abortion pill has <\/span>ended<\/span><\/a> the lives of nearly 5 million babies in the U.S. since its approval in 2000.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite examples like these, abortion advocates continue to demonize the abortion pill reversal process. In September 2021, Google <\/span>removed and banned ads<\/span><\/a> about abortion pill reversal placed by Live Action and its partners in response to pressure from the abortion industry. However, the big tech giant continued to allow pro-abortion ads for the abortion pill.<\/span><\/p>\n

While the abortion industry wants to make abortion pill reversal go away, the protocol has a history of safety and efficacy, and it is here to stay.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
