(National Right to Life News<\/a>) Doctors gave Cassy Gray, 36, an awful prognosis<\/a> when she came in for her twelve week scan: her baby\u2019s condition was \u201cincompatible with life\u201d and she was \u201cstrongly advised\u201d to abort.<\/p>\n

Megan [Whyte] \u201chas a rare condition called semilobar holoprosencephaly, which meant her brain stopped developing in her mother\u2019s womb at five weeks gestation,\u201d according to reporter Claire Elliot.<\/p>\n

Cassy was not deterred, even when told there was a 97 per cent chance her baby would be stillborn. \u201cWe decided right away that termination was not an option\u201d, said Cassy. \u201cI\u2019m not religious but I thought if God wants Megan, he\u2019ll take Megan; if she was going to die, she\u2019d die in her own time \u2013 I wasn\u2019t going to take it from her.\u201d<\/p>\n
