That\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/10\/24\/us\/three-daughters-same-birthday-three-years-apart-wellness\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">especially newsworthy<\/a> because Lammert gave birth to their daughter Giuliana on August 25, 2018, and their daughter Sophia on August 25, 2015. The couple said there was no plan to have their daughters share the same birth date.<\/p>\n<p>While some children might not like sharing their birthdays, the Lammert girls seem to love it. <a href=\"https:\/\/6park.news\/florida\/one-in-a-billion-florida-mother-has-three-daughters-on-the-same-day-but-they-are-not-triplets.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">6Park News reported<\/a>, \u201cSophia, her oldest daughter, kept saying that all she wanted for her birthday was another sister, and that\u2019s exactly what she got. The six-year-old has no problem sharing her special day \u2013 quite the opposite, in fact!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lammert <a href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/parents\/mom-gives-birth-3-girls-same-day-exactly-3-years-t234999\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said on TODAY<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>She thinks that it\u2019s very special. She just loves that she\u2019s sharing her birthday with her sister because she\u2019s now had three birthday parties that have been joint birthday parties. I get them separate cakes so they each have candles to blow out. We try to separate it but make it a joint party at the same time. That way they both feel like special birthday girls.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FPeopleParents%2Fposts%2F10158826316762804&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"502\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>READ: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/canadian-mom-birth-while-asleep\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WOW: Canadian mom gave birth to baby while she was asleep<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sophia and Giuliana work together on the theme, and Lammert gives each girl the same number of presents, and they have the same number of guests.<\/p>\n<p>The astounding timing is not something people are likely to see much. As ClickOrlando noted, doctors at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women &amp; Babies, where Lammert delivered, said the odds of this happening are extremely rare, while Lammert said the doctors told her the odds of this happening were 1 in 48 million.<\/p>\n<p>The TODAY show story about the family explained that the odds are stacked well against this occurring.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>&#8220;It is extremely rare. &#8230; We\u2019ve spoken to some statisticians and they say it\u2019s really hard to calculate,\u201d Dr. Christine Greves, an OB-GYN at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women &amp; Babies, who is not Lammert\u2019s doctor, told TODAY Parents. \u201cThe\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.guinnessworldrecords.com\/world-records\/most-siblings-born-on-the-same-day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guinness Book of World Records holder<\/a>\u00a0is a family that have five siblings born on the same day and they listed that as being about one in a 17 billion chance.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Greves also noted that just 5% of babies are born on their due dates. Sophia was born two weeks after her due date on August 25 when Lammert was induced. When Lammert learned she was pregnant with Giuliana and her due date was Aug. 29, she suspected Giuliana could arrive sooner.<\/p>\n<p>Because Kristin contracted\u00a0COVID-19 at 10 weeks into her pregnancy, as well as pre-eclampsia, doctors were monitoring her closely for complications, which may have contributed to the early birthday for Mia. Kristin said her doctor told her Mia \u201ccould come up to two weeks early. That\u2019s when I looked at the calendar and I remember turning to my husband and saying, \u2018Oh my gosh, Nick, two weeks before the due date is Aug. 25.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And so it was, as Lammert Girl #3 entered the world also on August 25.<\/p>\n<p>The Lammerts say there was a small amount of planning involved in the girls\u2019 birthday, in that they did want August babies \u2014 between major holidays \u2014 and they wanted them three years apart, but they didn\u2019t try to orchestrate the extremely rare timing, even with Lammert having been induced. &#8220;The date doesn&#8217;t just automatically line up,&#8221; she said. &#8220;My doctors were not going to induce me just because the date sounded cool.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>Editor&#8217;s Note: This article originally listed August 21 as one of the birth dates.
