On Monday, Live Action launched its latest campaign to educate Americans on abortion and end the horrific practice once and for all. The 2363 campaign<\/a>\u00a0aims to ensure that every child is protected from abortion.<\/p>\n

Over the last four decades, abortion advocates have been heard arguing that abortion should be “safe, legal, and rare.” In the last few years, however, this mantra has been tossed aside<\/a>, revealing the truth \u2014 that the plan was never<\/em> for abortion to be rare. The plan all along was for abortion to be both legal and profitable, and in order for abortion to be profitable, it cannot be rare. Every day in the United States, an average of 2,363 babies die by abortion.<\/p>\n

Abortions prior to Roe v. Wade<\/em>: Fabricated numbers and support<\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to convince Americans that legalizing abortion was necessary to protect women, those behind the push to do so lied about how many illegal abortions were occurring in the United States. As explained<\/a> by former abortionist Dr. Bernard Nathanson, who helped lead the charge for abortion’s legalization, “Knowing that if a true poll were taken, we would be soundly defeated, we simply fabricated the results of fictional polls.” He continued, “We announced to the media that we had taken polls and that 60 percent of Americans were in favor of permissive abortion. This is the tactic of the self-fulfilling lie. Few people care to be in the minority. We aroused enough sympathy to see our program of permissive abortion by fabricating the number of illegal abortions done annually in the U.S. The actual figure was approaching 100,000, but the figure we gave to the media repeatedly was 1,000,000.”<\/p>\n

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a> (CDC), in 1969, fewer than 25,000 legalized abortions took place in the United States, where abortion had been legalized in a few states. There are no official statistics on abortion prior to that year. By 1972, as more states legalized abortion, that number jumped to 586,760, more than 20 times<\/em> the number of abortions just three years earlier. But after the Supreme Court legalized abortion across the country, that number skyrocketed.<\/p>\n

In other words, legalizing abortion exponentially increased the number of abortions.<\/p>\n
