Manhattan’s notorious Planned Parenthood abortion facility \u2014\u00a0formerly named after its racist, white supremacist founder Margaret Sanger \u2014\u00a0has injured yet another woman, the 41st since its opening and the 33rd within just the last five years.\u00a0The facility is located on Bleecker and Mott Streets in the NoHo neighborhood of Manhattan. In 2020, Sanger’s name was removed because Planned Parenthood of Greater New York said it wanted to escape the Planned Parenthood founder’s “racist legacy<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

According to Operation Rescue<\/a>, a Black woman was seen leaving the Manhattan Health Center in an ambulance after experiencing an emergency. 911 dispatch information was not available, but Operation Rescue noted that the Planned Parenthood facility has a relationship with Mount Sinai Hospital, and may have bypassed the emergency dispatch system.<\/p>\n

The facility has become notorious for the frequent injuries women have experienced there. Some of these injuries have taken place during the COVID-19 pandemic<\/a>, putting patients at even higher risk as they are sent to hospitals where they could be in close proximity to patients with COVID-19.<\/p>\n

After the 2020 election, staffers stood outside clapping and cheering<\/a> \u2014 while a Black woman was curled onto a gurney, in severe pain. The staffers celebrated Biden’s win on the sidewalk while appearing to completely ignore the injured patient being wheeled by right in front of them. In 2019, five women were injured within the span of seven weeks<\/a> at this facility. This current medical emergency is the clinic’s 41st that the public knows of \u2014 it’s possible more have occurred without the public’s knowledge.<\/p>\n

Further putting women at risk is the building itself, with an elevator too small to transport women by gurney in an emergency. This is a real-life occurrence<\/a>, as paramedics responded to an injury and couldn’t bring the patient downstairs to the ambulance by gurney. In a severe emergency, where someone’s life is in imminent danger, this could lead to life-threatening delays in emergency care. In fact, this is exactly what led to the death of Karnamaya Mongar<\/a>, one of the patients in Kermit Gosnell’s notorious abortion facility. When paramedics responded, Mongar had a pulse, albeit a weak one. They had hopes of being able to revive her in the ambulance. But it took them over 20 minutes just to find a way to get her out of Gosnell’s building, which contributed to her death.<\/p>\n

There have also been questions of the cleanliness at the Manhattan facility, with patients sharing photos online of bloodstained equipment<\/a> \u2014 meaning staffers didn’t clean and sanitize the room between patients, even during a pandemic.<\/p>\n

Operation Rescue likewise notes that future abortionists practice at the Manhattan facility, which could further put women at risk. “The Manhattan Planned Parenthood is a well-known abortion training site for the Kenneth J. Ryan Residency Training Program in Abortion and Family Planning run by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York,” Operation Rescue reported, adding, “This means that inexperienced hospital residents practice a blind surgical procedure on real women at the Manhattan Planned Parenthood, honing their killing skills for future careers as abortionists.”<\/p>\n
