While California votes on whether to recall its governor, the South Pasadena Unified School District board will also take an <\/span>important vote<\/span><\/a> tomorrow, September 14, 2021. However, the school board’s vote will receive virtually no press coverage, in spite of its controversial nature.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The board will vote on whether to adopt a <\/span>Memorandum of Understanding<\/span><\/a> between the school district and Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley, drafted 8\/12\/21. The agreement intends to \u201cprovide internship placement(s) for District student intern(s)\u201d at Planned Parenthood. Said internship(s) would be unpaid and would be in Planned Parenthood\u2019s \u201c<\/span>Advocacy and Communications<\/span><\/a> departments.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In other words, if approved, the agreement would provide high school credit to at least one student in exchange for helping to promote Planned Parenthood\u2019s agenda.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is clear how Planned Parenthood benefits from this arrangement. Indeed, it is overtly stated in the <\/span>agreement<\/span><\/a> itself (emphasis added):<\/span><\/p>\n

The parties agree that [Planned Parenthood<\/strong>] benefits<\/strong> from this Agreement by gaining productive contributions<\/strong> with student interns in the workplace, positive publicity<\/strong> as a partner supporting District students \u2026 and an expanded potential hiring pool<\/strong>.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood gets free labor, free positive publicity, and access to potential new recruits. But what about the school district and\/or student intern(s)? The agreement makes reference to \u201ctraining and learning experiences\u201d and \u201cdevelop[ing] students\u2019 occupational competencies\u201d \u2014 which would make sense <\/span>if<\/span><\/i> Planned Parenthood were a normal, legitimate business. However, given that it is a corporation that profits from killing preborn children (and from an early introduction of explicit sex education material<\/a>), this is difficult to comprehend in any positive light.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Later in the agreement, we are given a hint at the real agenda. It states that Planned Parenthood will \u201ceducate the intern(s) about the industry\/field,\u201d and \u201creview all details with [the] intern (vision, mission of company … etc.)\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

So really, what the student gets in exchange for their time and labor is a hefty dose of indoctrination without pay. Hardly a fair trade, and yet this agreement may well pass.<\/span><\/p>\n

How is this possible?<\/span><\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood has been <\/span>meddling<\/span><\/a> in public education for decades; this small Memorandum of Understanding is but the <\/span>tip<\/span><\/a> of the <\/span>iceberg<\/span><\/a>. But parents seem ignorant of the <\/span>true scope<\/span><\/a> of the <\/span>agenda<\/span><\/a> that has <\/span>targeted<\/span><\/a> their kids \u2014 this is evidenced by the fact that this agreement was drafted and has nearly been adopted without even a modicum of public outcry.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kevin Dayton<\/span><\/a>, a California public policy consultant, told Live Action News, \u201cThe lesson from this item: people need to examine the meeting agendas of their local governments every week.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Similarly, Kelly Schenkoske, host of the education advocacy podcast \u201c<\/span>A Time to Stand<\/span><\/a>,\u201d advises parents to \u201cfollow the money, the marketing, and the agenda.\u201d She continues, \u201c[W]e have a public school to Planned Parenthood pipeline that is more aggressive, graphic, and involved than ever before.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
