Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion chain, is doing everything it can to discredit the Texas Heartbeat Law, even though polling<\/a> has found that a majority of Americans support it. Yet that isn’t keeping Planned Parenthood from peddling lies to a sympathetic media<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Doris Dixon, the director of patient access for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, spoke to ABC News<\/a> about what she allegedly experienced at a Houston facility \u2014 complete with helpless patients with nowhere to go and the inability of Planned Parenthood to give them care.<\/p>\n

But the question is, if abortion is such a tiny fraction (remember the 3% claim?<\/a>) of Planned Parenthood’s services, then why is Planned Parenthood acting as if they can do nothing for clients?<\/p>\n

One example Dixon gave was of a woman who allegedly visited Planned Parenthood for a routine check-up, only to suddenly discover she was five-and-a-half weeks pregnant just as the law was about to take effect. She would have been able to get an abortion that day, but she tested positive for COVID-19, claimed Dixon, and wouldn’t be able to come back until after her isolation period ended when it would then be too late. “To hear her beg for someone to help her was hard, she was begging,” Dixon said. “For me, I was trying very hard not to cry but the tears were coming down, they were there.”<\/p>\n

Dixon’s story has some holes in it. For example, if the patient wasn’t even five weeks pregnant, abortion would still be legal, so there was no reason for the patient not to be given the abortion pill that day. It comes across as a little too convenient for Planned Parenthood’s agenda \u2014 is the story even true?<\/p>\n

Dixon continued to claim that Planned Parenthood has had to turn away 70% of its clients since the law took effect. “They’ve relied on Planned Parenthood for years and we don’t have the answers,” she said. “We usually have the answers \u2014 we don’t have the answers… I feel like I take it personally. I have failed in my goal to help people.”<\/p>\n

But in truth, Planned Parenthood has only failed in its goal “to help people” if it continues to focus on abortion as the most important part of its mission.<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood has been open about how “vital” abortion is<\/a> to them, instead of focusing on providing legitimate health care. The corporation even fired former president Leana Wen<\/a> for being focused more on health care than abortion. Planned Parenthood provides few\u00a0health care services<\/a>\u00a0in comparison to abortion \u2014 less than 2 percent of all cancer screenings, less than 1 percent of all Pap tests, and less than 2 percent of all breast exams in the entire country \u2014 the consequence of pushing health care aside<\/a> in favor of abortion for years. The organization provides virtually no prenatal care<\/a>, and adoption referrals are nearly non-existent<\/a>.<\/p>\n
