Click to read <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/selling-sex-schools-whos-behind-ed-children\/\">Parts One<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/selling-sex-children-groomed-early-sexual-activity\/\">Two<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/selling-sex-schools-population-control-eugenics\/\">Four<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.advocatesforyouth.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Advocates for Youth<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (AFY), the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/healthyyouth\/partners\/funded_ngos.htm\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">taxpayer-funded<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> authors of a comprehensive K-12 sex-ed <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/xeyxkj1wa6oj1yf\/3Rs_ALL_Lesson_Plans.pdf?dl=0\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">curriculum<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> currently being used in over <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.propublica.org\/nonprofits\/organizations\/521173590\/202100119349301110\/full\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">100 school districts<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> nationwide, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.advocatesforyouth.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Sexual-Risk-Avoidance-Programs-are-Not-Sex-Education.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">claims<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that programs such as theirs \u201creduce sexual risk behaviors.\u201d But does exposing children to graphic material which glorifies sexual behavior, like that contained in AFY\u2019s curriculum and on its online cartoon counterpart, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/amaze.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AMAZE<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2014 as discussed in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/selling-sex-children-groomed-early-sexual-activity\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">part two<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of this series \u2014 really reduce reckless sexual behavior on the part of young people? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Are children \u2014 including pre-schoolers, one of the target audiences of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/amaze.org\/jr\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AMAZE Jr<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. site \u2014 psychologically equipped to process this kind of sexually explicit material in a healthy manner? Are they really mature enough to make responsible decisions regarding sex?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Sex-Ed Snake Oil<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Research shows that the answer to all of these questions is no.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/institute-research.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ericksen__Weed-Re-Examining_the_Evidence_for_CSE_2019.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">review<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of 103 studies on comprehensive sex-ed programs in the U.S. and other nations showed that a large percentage of the programs studied led to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">increases<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in promiscuity and risky sexual behavior along with their attendant consequences, including \u201cincreased pregnancies, STDs, \u2026 [number of] sex partners, increases in forced sex\/rape, and increases in paid sex.\u201d <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">None<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of them reduced STDs or teen pregnancies, which is what groups like AFY and its financial backers, Planned Parenthood, claim to be doing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This makes sense, as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sharondrewmorgen.com\/to-change-behaviors-first-change-beliefs-an-essay-for-change-agents\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">research<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has shown \u2014 and common sense affirms \u2014 that <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/26992485\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">normalizing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> any particular behavior is likely to\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2016\/12\/23\/heavy-drinking-normalized-women-killing-record-numbers\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">increase<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> its <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/2649062\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">frequency<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. As shown in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/selling-sex-children-groomed-early-sexual-activity\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">part two<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of this series, AFY and AMAZE normalize <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/amaze.org\/video\/masturbation-totally-normal\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">masturbation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/amaze.org\/video\/porn-fact-fiction\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pornography<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> use, juvenile <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/amaze.org\/video\/pregnancy-reproduction-safer-sex-pregnancy-prevention\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sex<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (including sex with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/amaze.org\/video\/healthy-relationships-consent-and-law\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">adults<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/amaze.org\/video\/pregnancy-reproduction-what-is-abortion\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">abortion<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; the AMAZE site does this, in part, simply by being sexually graphic, but also by directly stating that these things are \u201cnormal.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Research also shows that:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pediatrics.aappublications.org\/content\/140\/Supplement_2\/S162\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exposure<\/span><\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to [sexually explicit] content is linked with &#8230; earlier progression to sexual activity, pregnancy, and sexually transmitted infection among adolescents. \u2026 In 21 studies, researchers used longitudinal data to find a potential cause-and-effect relationship between exposure to sexual content and earlier sexual intercourse. \u2026 [R]esearchers found that youth whose media diets contained greater amounts of sexual content when initially surveyed were more likely to initiate intercourse by follow-up (1\u20132 years later).<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u7oeSAOZwdk\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><b>Biologically Immature<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AFY\/AMAZE and its <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/selling-sex-schools-whos-behind-ed-children\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">financial backer<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Planned Parenthood, are likely aware of all of this. They are also likely aware of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/4929170\/inside-teen-teenage-brain\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mainstream science<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which has repeatedly shown that children and adolescents do not have the cognitive and psychological <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.health.harvard.edu\/mind-and-mood\/the-adolescent-brain-beyond-raging-hormones\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">capacity<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> required to make wise decisions about sex:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">[A]dolescents, compared to adults, find it more difficult to interrupt an action under way &#8230; to think before acting &#8230; and even to choose between safer and riskier alternatives. &#8230; Adolescents&#8217; judgment can be overwhelmed by the urge for new experiences, thrill-seeking, and sexual and aggressive impulses. \u2026 Resisting social pressure is also more difficult for teenagers. \u2026 [T]hese differences have a definite basis in brain structure and functioning. Recent research has shown that human brain circuitry is not mature until the early 20s&#8230;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The AMAZE video \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/amaze.org\/video\/puberty-having-sex-intimacy-emtions\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Having Sex: Intimacy and Emotions<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d describes the chemicals that are released in the brain during sex, and notes that they can increase emotional vulnerability. But instead of advising its audience \u2014 which lacks the life experience and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/23998676\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cognitive development<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> required to navigate these emotions in a healthy way \u2014 to avoid engaging in activities whose consequences they are not yet <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/17383865\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ready<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for, they instead advise: \u201cBefore you decide to have sex, it\u2019s important to think through all the emotional reactions, positive and negative, that you could feel as a result of your experience.\u201d Similarly, AFY\u2019s sex-ed curriculum advises this for 7th-graders:<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_252332\" style=\"width: 614px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-252332\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-252332\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/teen-advice-sex-ed-604x700.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"604\" height=\"700\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/teen-advice-sex-ed-604x700.jpg 604w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/teen-advice-sex-ed-259x300.jpg 259w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/teen-advice-sex-ed-768x891.jpg 768w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/teen-advice-sex-ed-500x580.jpg 500w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/teen-advice-sex-ed.jpg 952w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 604px) 100vw, 604px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-252332\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">AFY advice for 7th graders<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AMAZE\/AFY\u2019s reasoning might sound somewhat plausible; however, children and teens are<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/15251883\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not biologically capable<\/span><\/i><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of doing any of the objective, high-level reasoning they recommend, because they <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.duke.edu\/apep\/module-3-alcohol-cell-suicide-and-the-adolescent-brain\/content-brain-maturation-is-complete-at-about-24-years-of-age\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">lack<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the requisite <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC3621648\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">brain development<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This is the reason that, legally, minors are <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stopitnow.org\/ohc-content\/why-permission-from-a-child-or-underage-teen-doesnt-count\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not capable<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of giving sexual consent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Devious by Design<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Again, AFY and Planned Parenthood are aware that normalizing sex to children makes those children more likely to have more (and earlier) sex. They emphasize the use of contraception with the knowledge that adolescents have a much <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nyaspubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1111\/j.1749-6632.1997.tb52172.x?sid=nlm%3Apubmed\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">higher rate<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of contraceptive <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC1070796\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">failure<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> than adults. They know that sex among young people, regardless of contraceptive use, will be more likely to result in an unplanned pregnancy or an STD\/STI. Some STDs are incurable, and\/or can lead to more extreme pathologies, including <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancer.gov\/about-cancer\/causes-prevention\/risk\/infectious-agents\/hpv-and-cancer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cancer<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. They know that the teenage demographic has the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/69\/ss\/ss6907a1.htm\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">highest abortion ratio<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> statistics, and that, compared to their adult counterparts, teens are more likely to choose abortion in the event of an unplanned pregnancy (which AMAZE encourages by portraying <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/amaze.org\/video\/pregnancy-stages-of-pregnancy\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pregnancy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in an <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">extremely<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> negative light).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s no coincidence that Planned Parenthood <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/67\/30\/67305ea1-8da2-4cee-9191-19228c1d6f70\/210219-annual-report-2019-2020-web-final.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">profits<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from STD treatments, contraception distribution, and abortion. By promoting sex to young people \u2014 both directly through its <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortion-business-provider-sex-education-children\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">own<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> sex-ed programs and by funding organizations like AFY \u2014 it is cultivating an uninterrupted supply of loyal customers who are also high-utilizers. AFY openly advises young people who watch AMAZE videos and browse the AFY website to go to Planned Parenthood for all three services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/op-eds\/i-was-a-sex-educator-trained-by-planned-parenthood-here-is-what-i-taught-your-kids\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">testimony<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of former employees confirms that Planned Parenthood-related sex-ed programs deliberately sexualize children with the goal of making them lifelong customers. Former employees have also revealed that Planned Parenthood intentionally <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-grooms-abortions\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">grooms<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> girls for abortion, which aids in\u00a0meeting each affiliate&#8217;s\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/congress-weighs-defund-live-action-releases-video-exposing-planned-parenthood-abortion-quotas\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">abortion goals and expectations<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We would never allow \u2014 much less <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortion-business-provider-sex-education-children\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pay<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2014 any other corporation to come into our children\u2019s schools with \u201ceducational\u201d material that achieves the opposite effect from that which is promised, and which is custom-designed to create future customers for that same corporation. It\u2019s akin to giving a candy company millions of dollars to teach a nutrition curriculum that extols the virtues of sugar consumption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Big Picture<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The bottom line is that taxpayers are facilitating the success of Planned Parenthood and its partners by allowing them to carve out a steady stream of new customers from the ranks of minors in schools and online. But a dark ideology is behind all of this, and it is global in scope.
