{"id":252065,"date":"2021-08-27T08:38:42","date_gmt":"2021-08-27T13:38:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/?p=252065"},"modified":"2021-08-26T20:57:17","modified_gmt":"2021-08-27T01:57:17","slug":"california-planned-parenthood-long-history-botches-abortion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/california-planned-parenthood-long-history-botches-abortion\/","title":{"rendered":"California Planned Parenthood with history of injuries botches another abortion"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>A scandal-plagued Planned Parenthood facility in California has sent another woman to the hospital, the latest in seemingly a long line of botched abortions.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.operationrescue.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/21078333_1357_Oakland_Bl_CAD_report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD)<\/a> report, obtained by watchdog group\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.operationrescue.org\/archives\/woman-hemorrhages-uncontrollably-after-botched-abortion-at-ca-planned-parenthood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Operation Rescue<\/a>, a 29-year-old woman was transported by ambulance to John Muir Hospital after an aspiration abortion was committed at Planned Parenthood in Walnut Creek, California. She was experiencing uncontrollable bleeding, and dispatch sent an ambulance with a \u201cP3-Urgent\u201d priority code.<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QaUPNOB_xZs\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to the CAD report, the bleeding was caused by lacerations, likely to the woman&#8217;s uterus. This is a known risk of a suction aspiration abortion, a surgical procedure typically committed in the first trimester.<\/p>\n<p>During the procedure, the abortionist manually dilates the woman&#8217;s cervix, and then uses a powerful suction catheter to forcibly remove the preborn child from his mother&#8217;s womb. The abortionist then uses a curette to scrape the woman&#8217;s uterus to make sure no part of the child remains \u2014 and it&#8217;s this part of the abortion that likely led to lacerations in the woman&#8217;s uterus.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asrm.org\/FACTSHEET_Dilation_and_Curettage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Injuries<\/a> to the woman&#8217;s uterus or cervix are known risks of an aspiration abortion, as well as potential damage to the intestines, bladder, and nearby blood vessels. Extreme pain, nausea, excessive bleeding, infection, and even death are known to occur as well.<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5THDmys8z30\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This particular incident took place on July 23, just two months after two women were injured <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/california-planned-parenthood-women-emergencies-week\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">within a week<\/a> of each other at the same facility.<\/p>\n<p>Last year at the same facility, a woman was unconscious and not breathing normally after an abortion, and it was discovered that the facility had <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-911-defibrillator-abortion-patient\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">no working defibrillator<\/a> to use in emergency situations.
