(Pregnancy Help News<\/a>) As the battle for life continues in today\u2019s culture, Focus on the Family plans a major August event that brings life to light with the power of ultrasound and celebrates life-affirming ministries and organizations.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s our opportunity to again come together,\u201d said Robyn Chambers, executive director of Advocacy for Children for Focus on the Family. \u201cIt\u2019s our chance to really showcase them [pregnancy help centers] as the heroes, those men and women on the frontlines day in and day out. It\u2019s also a fun way of gathering like-minded and life-minded people together.\u201d<\/p>\n

See Life 2021\u00a0<\/a>will culminate in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, August 28, at 7 p.m. Central Time as an in-person and live-streamed event. Pregnancy resource centers throughout Texas have been invited to the in-person event that features speakers from various organizations and a worship conference.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a way to celebrate life and celebrate everyday heroes,\u201d Chambers said.<\/p>\n

Guest speakers include\u00a0Amy Ford<\/a>, co-founder and president of\u00a0Embrace Grace<\/a>; Dr. William Lyle,\u00a0pro-life OB-GYN<\/a>\u00a0and a\u00a0medical advisor<\/a>\u00a0to Heartbeat International\u2019s\u00a0Abortion Pill Rescue Network<\/a>; and Nick Vujicic, who was born without arms or legs and is the founder and president of the ministry\u00a0Life Without Limbs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Focus on the Family\u2019s president, Jim Daly, will host the evening, and Christian singer-songwriter\u00a0Matthew West<\/a>, who sang \u201cUnplanned\u201d in the award-winning film of the same name, headlines the worship concert.<\/p>\n

See Life 2021 is the continuation of a\u00a0similar event<\/a>\u00a0Focus on the Family created after the passage of the 2019 New York\u00a0law\u00a0<\/a>that gives free-reign for abortion. Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King, spoke, and a live ultrasound featuring Abby Johnson noted for the book and movie\u00a0Unplanned<\/em>\u00a0was conducted.<\/p>\n

Ultrasounds will be done at the Dallas event as well, Chambers said.<\/p>\n

Partnerships<\/strong><\/p>\n

Several national organizations, including Heartbeat International, CareNet, NIFLA, Live Action, and ICU Mobile partnered with Focus on the Family for this event.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt shows the collaboration at the national level,\u201d Chambers said. \u201cIt\u2019s not all about Focus, it\u2019s not all about one organization; it\u2019s about all of us coming together to serve the men and women in our community.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSee Life has been a powerful witness to the work of pregnancy help centers and in particular, focusing on the importance of ultrasound,\u201d said Jor-El Godsey, president of Heartbeat International. \u201cWe\u2019ve been great partners with Focus on the Family through their option ultrasound program and their Sanctity of Life team, and we have worked together on a number of collaborative efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n

That includes Heartbeat\u2019s Unplanned Movie Scholarship.<\/p>\n

\u201cFocus on the Family has been very supportive of that program,\u201d Godsey said.<\/p>\n

For more than 15 years, Focus has partnered with pregnancy help organizations around the country, equipping them with resources, including new ultrasound machines.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so inspired by those who work in a pregnancy center because they are standing for life every single day,\u201d Chambers said. \u201cWe [at Focus on the Family] get the joy of coming alongside, helping with a new machine, or helping with nurses\u2019 training.\u201d<\/p>\n

Preparing for Dallas<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each Friday in August, a new video focusing on pro-life issues releases on the\u00a0See Life 2021 website<\/a>. These programs are free of charge for viewers.<\/p>\n
