The pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute has updated its statistics<\/a> on abortion reporting in the United States, and it proves that Americans know next to nothing about abortion reasons and complications in individual states or the nation as a whole. And there is an obvious reason for this.<\/p>\n

States are not required to report abortion data to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), however, some states choose to do so. To collect the data, those states provide a form to abortion providers which, according to Guttmacher, often requires the name of the abortion facility and the abortionists, the demographic characteristics of the patient (race, ethnicity, marital status), and the type of abortion procedure used. Some of the reports are “confidential” but most actually require very little information to be reported.<\/p>\n

Post-abortion complications<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Guttmacher, only about half of all states (28) currently require abortion providers to report complications<\/a> from abortions, making it impossible for the abortion industry to truthfully claim abortion is safe for women. Abortion complications can include uterine perforation, perforation of other organs, incomplete abortion, infection, hemorrhaging, infertility, and even death. Yet, Americans have no idea how often these injuries occur because of spotty state reporting and the lack of any federal requirement to report them.<\/p>\n

The pro-life watchdog group Operation Rescue<\/a> works with pro-life sidewalk counselors to keep record of when abortion facilities call ambulances for patients injured during abortions. There are numerous 911 calls made from abortion facilities in the United States and the ones Operation Rescue reports are just a fraction of the actual number of emergencies that occur during abortions in the U.S. Major media outlets have repeatedly failed<\/a> to cover even the most horrific injuries<\/a>, helping the abortion industry in their massive coverup of abortion complications in America.<\/p>\n
