High school sweethearts TJ and Stephanie Norman of Blanchard, Oklahoma, didn\u2019t quite expect their family of three to grow to a family of six so suddenly. After the birth of their two-year-old son Wyatt, the couple eventually wanted another baby, a girl. \u201cWe were ready to start trying for one more and we were hoping it would be a girl,\u201d Norman said, according to <\/span>KSWO<\/span><\/a>. \u201cAnd then we were surprised we got three girls.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

While the couple had even joked about having multiples, they never expected to conceive triplets. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, what are we going to do if we hear more than one heartbeat \u2014 and then there were three of them in there,\u201d TJ said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I never thought this could happen to us,” Stephanie told <\/span>FOX13<\/span><\/a>. “My sister has twins, so I never thought we could have multiples.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Like many multiples, they were born early. On June 2, at 29 weeks, Aspen, Kensli, and Layken were born, immediately heading to the NICU where they could grow and develop a little more until they were ready to come home.<\/span><\/p>\n
