Zatkoff of the Eastern District of Michigan ruled that the mandate, which requires employers to provide contraception, sterilization, and abortion-inducing drug coverage in health care plans, cannot be enforced against Monaghan.<\/p>\n<p>(You can read my original article on this case <a href=\"\/news\/the-thomas-more-law-center-files-a-motion-to-stop-the-hhs-mandate\/\">here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>If the ruling had not been made in Monaghan\u2019s favor, he would have been forced to violate his religious beliefs or violate federal law on January 1st.<\/p>\n<p>The TRO was filed on December 21, 2012 by the Thomas More Law Center\u2019s Erin Mersino.
