But the truth is that while Planned Parenthood commits 41% of the abortions in the United States every year (over 350,000), it actually only serves around <em>3%<\/em> of the female population of reproductive age.<\/p>\n<p>Despite <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/pianned-parenthoods-past-decade-3-3-million-abortions-6-billion-taxpayer-dollars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">increasing<\/a> taxpayer funding,\u00a0Planned Parenthood&#8217;s\u00a0own reports reveal that many of its services have been in decline while abortions continue to increase. Meanwhile,\u00a0Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) offer multiple services for both men and women while remaining free of the controversy of abortion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UU1mBbRxkqA\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Planned Parenthood serves just 3.3% of US female population of reproductive age<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>For years, Planned Parenthood has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/how-abortion-chain-planned-parenthood-masquerades-as-a-health-care-provider\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">masqueraded<\/a> as a \u201cwomen\u2019s health\u201d organization, yet it serves a very small percentage of female clients annually.\u00a0Planned Parenthood&#8217;s latest annual report for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/67\/30\/67305ea1-8da2-4cee-9191-19228c1d6f70\/210219-annual-report-2019-2020-web-final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2019-2020<\/a>\u00a0revealed that out of the 2.4\u00a0million clients it recorded, nearly 2.1 million were female, while 321,001 were male, which is a growing demographic.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/data\/tables\/2019\/demo\/age-and-sex\/2019-age-sex-composition.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">population estimates<\/a>\u00a0in 2019, there were 165 million females in the United States with 64 million females of reproductive age (15\u201344). This means that Planned Parenthood&#8217;s female clientele represents just <em>3.3 percent of the U.S. female population<\/em> of reproductive age.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>FQHC clients and locations have increased while<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Planned Parenthood&#8217;s are either down or unchanged<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>For the past several years (<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/20170526_annualreport_p02_singles.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2015<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-2016-women-dont-need\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2016<\/a>\u00a0,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-more-abortion-less-healthcare\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2017<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/2e\/da\/2eda3f50-82aa-4ddb-acce-c2854c4ea80b\/2018-2019_annual_report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018<\/a>, and again in <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/89-seconds-planned-parenthood-report-record-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2019<\/a>), Planned Parenthood&#8217;s clientele has remained at 2.4 million clients annually. But a closer look at previous patients numbers reveals that clients at Planned Parenthood have actually declined 20% from the 3 million it claimed to serve in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/2009-Annual-Affiliate-Service-Census-Report..pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2009<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0over 27% percent since its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stopp.org\/PPFAReports\/PPFA1996-97008.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1996-1997 annual report<\/a>\u00a0(3.3 million clients).<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bphc.hrsa.gov\/datareporting\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">serve<\/a>\u00a0tens of millions of men and women annually and have <em><strong>increased<\/strong> <\/em>their patient load by nearly 23% in recent years.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2015: FQHCs\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-anything-womens-health-organization\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">served<\/a>\u00a024,295,946<\/li>\n<li>2017:\u00a0FQHCs\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/data.hrsa.gov\/tools\/data-reporting\/program-data\/national\/table?tableName=Full&amp;year=2017\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">served<\/a>\u00a027,174,372<span id=\"ctl00_ContentView_ctl00_T3a_F3a_L39_Cr\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>2019:\u00a0FQHCs\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/data.hrsa.gov\/tools\/data-reporting\/program-data\/national\/table?tableName=Full&amp;year=2019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">served<\/a> 29,836,613<span id=\"ctl00_ContentView_ctl00_T3a_F3a_L39_Cr\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The number of Planned Parenthood facilities has remained around 600 nationwide for the past <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/89-seconds-planned-parenthood-report-record-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">several years<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/89-seconds-planned-parenthood-report-record-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">decrease<\/a>\u00a0of nearly 29% percent since\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/2009-Annual-Affiliate-Service-Census-Report..pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2009<\/a>, and a drop of over 33% from a high of 900 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stopp.org\/PPFAReports\/PPFA1996-97008.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1996-1997<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, FQHC <a href=\"https:\/\/data.hrsa.gov\/data\/fact-sheets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sites<\/a>\u00a0have increased to around 12,000:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2015: More than 9,800 clinics and mobile medical vans.<\/li>\n<li>2017: More than 10,400 clinics\u00a0mobile medical vans.<\/li>\n<li>2019: Approximately 12,000 sites and mobile medical vans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Planned Parenthood provides less than 1% of prenatal services<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>According to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/data\/ahcd\/namcs_summary\/2016_namcs_web_tables.pdf\">2016 analysis<\/a>\u00a0published by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/fastats\/physician-visits.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Center of Health Statistics<\/a>, women had 22.5 million prenatal visits with providers in the U.S.\u00a0That same year, Planned Parenthood reported just 7,762 prenatal services; in 2019, PP reported 8,626 prenatal services.<\/p>\n<p>This means that Planned Parenthood likely provides <em>less than one percent<\/em> (.0004%) of prenatal services in the United States. Undercover investigations\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-purges-prenatal-from-websites-after-live-action-investigation\/\">conducted<\/a>\u00a0by Live Action have revealed that prenatal care is not just difficult to find at Planned Parenthood facilities, but practically nonexistent. Even the workers themselves seemed baffled that anyone would call asking for prenatal services, which were <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-purges-prenatal-from-websites-after-live-action-investigation\/\">advertised at the time on Planned Parenthood&#8217;s own website and later scrubbed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ekgiScr364Y\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>There is no comparison: FQHCs are the ones providing real health care<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/how-abortion-chain-planned-parenthood-masquerades-as-a-health-care-provider\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/how-abortion-chain-planned-parenthood-masquerades-as-a-health-care-provider\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1620488789176000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHe2GG39oGtIg1BQJU6cDncH3FsEg\">In the mid-to-late 1990s<\/a>, Planned Parenthood\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-purges-prenatal-from-websites-after-live-action-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-purges-prenatal-from-websites-after-live-action-investigation\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1620488789176000&amp;usg=AFQjCNG_gkq2oXx_GqZ4fot7qnxxv6ANlw\">suggested<\/a>\u00a0in an annual report that prenatal care was its \u201cfastest-growing area.\u201d Today, the tune has drastically changed. Prenatal care at Planned Parenthood has been on the decline even as its abortion numbers continue to increase year after year. Over the span of a decade\u00a0\u2014 the corporation\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/2009-2010-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\">2009-2010<\/a> annual report\u00a0through its most recent\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/67\/30\/67305ea1-8da2-4cee-9191-19228c1d6f70\/210219-annual-report-2019-2020-web-final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/67\/30\/67305ea1-8da2-4cee-9191-19228c1d6f70\/210219-annual-report-2019-2020-web-final.pdf&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1620488789176000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHu3JG_iSRaN85TOyL_PlIjonUcOg\">2019-2020<\/a>\u00a0report \u2014\u00a0Planned Parenthood provided a total of 200,530 prenatal services. At the same time, it committed nearly <em><strong>four\u00a0<\/strong><strong>million abortions<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>FQHCs provide almost\u00a0<em>twice the number of prenatal services annually<\/em> as Planned Parenthood reported over the span of 20 years. For example, in 2015, Planned Parenthood\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/20170526_annualreport_p02_singles.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>\u00a09,419 prenatal services while FQHCs\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bphc.hrsa.gov\/uds2015\/datacenter.aspx?q=tall&amp;year=2015&amp;state=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">served<\/a>\u00a0552,150 prenatal patients. In 2019, Planned Parenthood\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/67\/30\/67305ea1-8da2-4cee-9191-19228c1d6f70\/210219-annual-report-2019-2020-web-final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recorded<\/a> 8,626 prenatal services while FQHC\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/data.hrsa.gov\/tools\/data-reporting\/program-data\/national\/table?tableName=Full&amp;year=2019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">served<\/a> 583,328 prenatal patients. The years between followed this pattern as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FQHCs vs. Planned Parenthood on Pap tests<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/data\/hus\/2019\/034.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a>, 66%\u00a0of women aged 18 and over had a Pap test within the past three years. This means that,\u00a0despite federal funding from several agencies, Planned Parenthood only provides <em>less than one percent<\/em> of US pap tests.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>125,321,000 (est. females 18 and older) x 66% (82,711,860\/by three years = (27,570,620)<\/li>\n<li>PP\u2019s 2019 share is 272,990\/27,570,620 = .0099 x 100= .99% \u2014 less than 1%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Planned Parenthood&#8217;s latest report shows that its Pap tests increased nearly 7% from 255,682 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/2e\/da\/2eda3f50-82aa-4ddb-acce-c2854c4ea80b\/2018-2019_annual_report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018-2019<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0272,990 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/67\/30\/67305ea1-8da2-4cee-9191-19228c1d6f70\/210219-annual-report-2019-2020-web-final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2019-2020<\/a>, but those\u00a0tests have actually dropped nearly 70% from reported numbers in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/2009-Annual-Affiliate-Service-Census-Report..pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2009<\/a>\u00a0and nearly 77% from\u00a0a reported record high of\u00a01,183,692 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/liveaction.org\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/2005-2006-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2004<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Today, FQHCs provide over six times the number of Pap tests that Planned Parenthood reports, an average of\u00a0<strong><em>nearly two million Pap tests<\/em><\/strong> each year. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/fastats\/mammography.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CDC<\/a>, 66.7% of women aged 40 and over had a mammogram within the past two years, an estimated 27 million in 2019 (81,487,000 est. females 40 and older x 66.7%= 54,351,829\/by two years = 27,175,914). Planned Parenthood did zero of these.<\/p>\n<p>In the past decade, the manual breast exams at Planned Parenthood declined 68% from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/2009-Annual-Affiliate-Service-Census-Report..pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2009<\/a>\u00a0and 75% from its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/2000_-_2001.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2000-2001<\/a>\u00a0report.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2015: While PP\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/20170526_annualreport_p02_singles.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recorded<\/a>\u00a0321,700 manual breast exams, FQHCs <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-anything-womens-health-organization\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">performed<\/a>\u00a0521,568\u00a0mammograms.<\/li>\n<li>2017: While PP\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/80\/d7\/80d7d7c7-977c-4036-9c61-b3801741b441\/190118-annualreport18-p01.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recorded<\/a>\u00a0296,310 manual breast exams, FQHCs\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/data.hrsa.gov\/tools\/data-reporting\/program-data\/national\/table?tableName=Full&amp;year=2017\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">performed<\/a>\u00a0724,187\u00a0mammograms.<\/li>\n<li>2019: While PP\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/67\/30\/67305ea1-8da2-4cee-9191-19228c1d6f70\/210219-annual-report-2019-2020-web-final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recorded<\/a> 269,669 manual breast exams, FQHCs\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/data.hrsa.gov\/tools\/data-reporting\/program-data\/national\/table?tableName=Full&amp;year=2019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">performed<\/a>\u00a0823,312 mammograms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>So what can Planned Parenthood do that FQHCs don&#8217;t? Abortion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to Planned Parenthood&#8217;s most recent report (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/67\/30\/67305ea1-8da2-4cee-9191-19228c1d6f70\/210219-annual-report-2019-2020-web-final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2019-2020<\/a>), it committed more than 354,871 abortions, the highest on record. Despite <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/2000-20-million-abortions-declining\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">national declines<\/a>, Planned Parenthood\u2019s market share of abortions is expanding and has now reached 41% of all abortions nationwide when comparing Planned Parenthood&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/67\/30\/67305ea1-8da2-4cee-9191-19228c1d6f70\/210219-annual-report-2019-2020-web-final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2019-2020<\/a>\u00a0reported abortions with Guttmacher\u2019s most recent <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/us-abortion-rate-lowest-roe-v-wade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2017<\/a>\u00a0data.<\/p>\n<p>Abortions nationwide\u00a0have dropped\u00a0nearly 57%\u00a0from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/preview\/mmwrhtml\/00049084.htm#00002629.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">peak<\/a>\u00a0recorded in 1990, according to CDC data from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/cdc-report-57-percent-drop-abortions-1990\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018<\/a>.\u00a0The U.S. abortion rate hit its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/us-abortion-rate-lowest-roe-v-wade\/\">lowest point<\/a>\u00a0since Roe v.
