Dozens of Christian colleges and universities have been found to have ties to Planned Parenthood, according to a recent report.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Students<\/span> for Life of America<\/span><\/a> (SFLA) analyzed over 700 Christian institutions of higher learning in the United States. From that group, about 100 were discovered to have existing ties to Planned Parenthood. After a list was published with the names of the first 25 colleges and universities, two schools \u2014 Messiah College and St. Francis University \u2014 dropped their affiliations with Planned Parenthood, according to a <\/span>press release<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Colleges and universities on the first list were from a variety of Christian denominations including Methodist, Lutheran, United Church of Christ, Presbyterian, Methodist Episcopal, Catholic, United Methodist, and Disciples of Christ. The rest of the schools on the list will be released later this year in two waves, according to the <\/span>Christian Post<\/span><\/a>, followed by a special report published in the fall.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SFLA president Kristan Hawkins told the Post that many of these Christian institutions made no attempt to hide the partnership. “In some cases, we had situations where the school openly supported Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry and was obstinate in their response to us. And that to me, I think, was the most surprising,” she said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The research highlights the deep-seated clash between the Biblical foundation of these Christian colleges and universities and their various types of affiliation with the nation\u2019s abortion giant. The most common types of affiliation include advertising for job opportunities at Planned Parenthood, referring students to the abortion giant for services, hosting events that included Planned Parenthood, and incorporating Planned Parenthood into medical school curriculum rotations.<\/span><\/p>\n

As Live Action News\u00a0<\/span>reported<\/span><\/a> last year, exposing these partnerships has borne fruit before. Lubbock Christian University, Pepperdine University, and Clarks Summit University all dropped Planned Parenthood from their public websites after their administrations were questioned about it. Lubbock Christian University even replaced the link to the abortion giant with a link to a local pro-life pregnancy resource center.<\/span><\/p>\n
