Wade, as President Biden and Vice President Harris released a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2021\/01\/22\/statement-from-president-biden-and-vice-president-harris-on-the-48th-anniversary-of-roe-v-wade\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">joint statement<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> celebrating the \u201clandmark ruling.\u201d The statement lamented the \u201crelentless and extreme attack\u201d of the previous administration on \u201creproductive health, including the right to choose,\u201d and they pledged to appoint <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Roe<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-friendly judges and also to codify the ruling into federal law.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tennessee Governor Bill Lee responded to VP Harris\u2019 tweet linking the statement with his own <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GovBillLee\/status\/1352691253490675713\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tweet<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> pointing out a simple fact: \u201cAbortion isn\u2019t healthcare.\u201d In a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GovBillLee\/status\/1352691254518308867\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">subsequent tweet<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, he urged followers to support <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hopeclinicforwomen.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hope Clinic<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a pregnancy resource center that staffs OBGYNs and nurses and offers a variety of health services.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Abortion isn\u2019t healthcare. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/hpHnvw5pso\">https:\/\/t.co\/hpHnvw5pso<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Gov. Bill Lee (@GovBillLee) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GovBillLee\/status\/1352691253490675713?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 22, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennessean.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2021\/01\/22\/tennessee-gov-bill-lee-vice-president-kamala-harris-48th-anniversary-roe-v-wade-abortion\/6675772002\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In response<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Francie Hunt, executive director of Tennessee Advocates for Planned Parenthood, an affiliate of Planned Parenthood Action, falsely claimed that the governor\u2019s tweet could lead to violence. &#8220;Political violence is a real danger in this country, and when the governor implies that abortion is something other than life-saving health care, it puts us all in danger,\u201d she asserted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hunt\u2019s accusation has no basis in reality. An assertion of truth about abortion should never be labeled as putting people in danger, and abortion activists like Hunt are actually inverting the truth. Abortion is the true act of violence, one that not only directly intends to kill an innocent preborn baby, but which also often harms women <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/late-term-abortionist-mangled-patients-babies-traumatized\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">physically<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortion-regret-hole-heart\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">emotionally<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. And Governor Lee is correct: abortion isn\u2019t health care and is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/prolifereplies.liveaction.org\/medically-necessary\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">never medically necessary<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CFZDhM5Gwhk\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This claim comes shortly after an abortionist <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortionist-live-action-lila-rose-terrorism-abortion-violence\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">accused<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Live Action president and founder Lila Rose of \u201cviolent rhetoric\u201d and \u201cdomestic terrorism\u201d for tweeting another truth about abortion: \u201cAbortion is violence.\u201d Rose has consistently <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/breaking-planned-parenthood-shooter-custody-pro-life-leaders-comment\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">deplored<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the use of violence not only against preborn babies and women, but also against those who work in the abortion industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, pro-life values hold that all human life is sacred and should be protected, from conception until natural death.
