There <\/span>will be no legal repercussions<\/span><\/a> in the case of deceased Indiana abortionist Ulrich Klopfer, who was discovered to have kept thousands of fetal remains in his garage and his car.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill announced on Wednesday he has concluded a probe into the findings, which was called when 2,411 fetal remains from Klopfer\u2019s three local abortion clinics were discovered at the doctor\u2019s home after his death from natural causes on September 3rd, 2019. Several weeks later, the remains of 165 additional babies were discovered in the trunk of one of Klopfer’s cars.\u00a0<\/span>Along with the remains \u2014 which, according to the AG’s report, were in various states of decay \u2014\u00a0authorities found patient records, \u201cboxes of personal items, rusting cars, multitudes of soda cans, and other random garbage stacked high to the ceiling,\u201d <\/span>reports the NY Daily News<\/span><\/a>. The improper disposal of these remains violated state law.<\/span><\/p>\n

In spite of the extent of this macabre discovery, Klopfer is believed to have acted alone. As a result of AG Hill’s findings and the fact that Klopfer is dead, Hill did not recommend any criminal charges or other licensing actions. Klopfer\u2019s license had already been revoked in 2016 after multiple complaints. According to the licensing board, Klopfer admitted to committing an abortion on a 10-year-old rape victim<\/a> without<\/em> reporting the rape to law enforcement.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On February 12, 2020, the remains of 2,411 preborn babies kept by Klopfer were laid to rest at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend, Indiana, in a ceremony that included remarks from Indiana AG Hill. On that day, as Live Action News <\/span>reported<\/span><\/a>, pro-lifers around the country marked the solemn occasion on social media with the words, \u201c2,411 Never Forgotten.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis horrific ordeal is exactly why we need strong laws to ensure the dignified disposition of fetal remains. I was humbled to provide these precious babies a proper burial in South Bend,\u201d Attorney General Hill <\/span>said in a statement<\/span><\/a> on December 30th. \u201cWe hope the results of our investigation provide much-needed closure to everyone who has been impacted by this gruesome case.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
