It’s a puzzling contradiction that we’ve seen many times during the COVID-19 pandemic: government and thought leaders support restrictive measures under the guise of “saving lives” while allowing abortion facilities to remain open, even as lifesaving surgeries were halted for months at hospitals across the country.<\/p>\n

Microsoft founder Bill Gates is one of those thought leaders. The Gates Foundation has\u00a0granted<\/a>\u00a0$1.75 billion to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and recently advocated for continuing the lockdown on bars and restaurants.\u00a0\u201cBars and restaurants\u2014in most of the country\u2014will be closed as we go into this wave, and\u00a0I think, sadly, that\u2019s appropriate,\u201d Gates told<\/a> CNN’s State of the Union. A\u00a0report by the National Restaurant Association<\/a>\u00a0found that\u00a0at least 10,000 restaurants\u00a0have closed nationwide\u00a0in the last three months alone, bringing the total to more than 110,000.<\/p>\n

Yet Gates has failed to call for a lockdown of the abortion providers he funds through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation,\u00a0which has\u00a0granted<\/a> millions upon millions to fund organizations that promote and\/or commit abortion. Evidence from abortion businesses’ own surveys<\/a>\u00a0reveal that they offer little to their patients beyond abortion and contraception. Yet even during a pandemic, the population control agenda marches forward.<\/p>\n
