Update 10\/30\/2020 10:23pm<\/strong>:\u00a0According to the pro-life group Abortion on Trial, attorney Mike Seibel has been retained<\/a> to represent Jane Doe. “Dr. Theard’s abandonment of Jane is not only a violation of the licensing act, but is also unprofessional, unethical, and is borderline criminal conduct,” said Seibel. He has filed a letter<\/a> of complaint with the New Mexico Medical Board on behalf of Doe.<\/p>\n

10\/30\/2020 11:23am<\/strong>: A woman who suffered a twice-botched abortion was arrested<\/a> along with her husband outside of Women’s Reproductive Clinic in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, this week. Numerous injured women<\/a>\u00a0have filed\u00a0complaints against abortionist Franz Theard, who runs the facility. Theard has also\u00a0faced multiple malpractice lawsuits<\/a>,<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0remains<\/a> of an aborted baby were found outside his El Paso abortion facility in 2011.<\/p>\n

According to the pro-life group Southwest Coalition for Life, which was on the scene and recorded the arrest, the woman known as “Jane Doe” had taken the abortion pill days ago, but it failed (as it often does<\/a>). The abortion facility then convinced her to undergo a surgical abortion. Days after the surgical abortion, she was still in severe pain and “unexpectedly delivered remains of her deceased baby at home.” The couple called the abortion facility which advised them to return.<\/p>\n

“Coalition for Life staff witnessed Dr. Theard quickly exit the facility, get in his car, and flee the scene,” wrote Coalition for Life in a Facebook post<\/a>. “Minutes later, the police arrived at the clinic BEFORE the clients arrived. The woman then arrived and entered the facility with a bag containing the remains of her child which she intended to have cremated for burial after receiving medical attention.”<\/p>\n
