{"id":233340,"date":"2020-10-26T11:44:41","date_gmt":"2020-10-26T16:44:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/?p=233340"},"modified":"2020-10-25T19:52:36","modified_gmt":"2020-10-26T00:52:36","slug":"woman-abortion-pill-baby-weeping-screaming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/woman-abortion-pill-baby-weeping-screaming\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman who took abortion pill: I was &#8216;weeping and screaming&#8217; because I saw my baby"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>The book, &#8220;Shockwaves: Abortions Wider Circle of Victims,&#8221; details the stories of people hurt by abortion, including that of a woman named Salome who shared her own horrific experience with the abortion pill.<\/p>\n<p>Many pro-choice organizations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/learn\/abortion\/the-abortion-pill\/how-does-the-abortion-pill-work#:~:text=It%E2%80%99s%20kind%20of%20like%20having%20a%20really%20heavy%2C,cramping%20and%20bleeding%20can%20last%20for%20several%20hours.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claim<\/a> that having an abortion by pill is just like having a regular monthly period. In fact, Teen Vogue, a magazine aimed at impressionable teenagers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teenvogue.com\/story\/how-abortion-pill-works\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said taking the abortion pill<\/a> is \u201clike having a period.\u2026 While it may cause cramps and bleeding similar to your typical period, it\u2019s a safe, simple, and noninvasive way to provide reproductive care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But women who have taken the abortion pill continue to share the truth. Salome wrote about what happened when she took the second pill (misoprostol) in the abortion pill regimen:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>It took about 30 minutes for the cramps and bleeding to start. I remember thinking, \u201cOkay, so this should be over in an hour or so.\u201d But it wasn\u2019t. During that time, I felt like my inside was being torn and sliced to pieces. I had blood all over my legs and went in the tub to wash them. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>The cramps got so bad I couldn\u2019t even move. I couldn\u2019t even cry. It was worse than anything I\u2019ve ever seen on TV. All the labor and contractions they show were nothing compared to this. I couldn\u2019t get to my phone to dial 911 and go to the emergency room. I lay there for hours thinking, \u201cI deserve this; I brought this on myself.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The ordeal went on and on, and Salome began to vomit. Even though she was not religious, she began to pray. &#8220;Right before the fetus came out, I started vomiting everything I had in my system since that morning,&#8221; she explained. &#8220;Then I bled some more and hurt some more. I started praying curled up in blood in the tub, for the first time in years. I don\u2019t remember the last time I prayed before this happened.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lRDnVSMr5j0\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Needless to say, this ordeal was nothing like \u201chaving a period.\u201d\u00a0But the worst was yet to come. As the abortion progressed, Salome saw her baby. She explained:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>After hours of hurting, I finally felt a huge physical relief, and the pain was immediately gone. I managed to get up. When I turned around, I saw the most heartbreaking thing I\u2019ve ever seen [in] my entire life. I saw my child. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>It was at that moment that it finally sunk in properly. I really had been pregnant. I had been carrying the life I created inside of me until that very moment.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Looking at the body of her child, Salome felt instant regret, as she explained:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Right after that, I cried and cried for hours. I put my child in a little box and kept saying I was sorry for what I had done. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>I was weeping and screaming, but nothing could turn back time. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>I felt like a part of me died. I felt angry. I felt guilty. I felt like my world was coming to an end and that I was the most terrible person on this earth. I couldn\u2019t believe what I was looking at. It was the most beautiful thing I ever created, and I destroyed it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/mother-relieved-doctor-baby-abortion-pill-reversal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Mother \u2018incredibly relieved\u2019 after doctor saves baby using abortion pill reversal<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Salome experienced emotional trauma due to her abortion, and her relationship with her boyfriend suffered as a result.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It seemed like he recovered much quicker than I had,&#8221; she said. &#8220;After all, he was far away and didn\u2019t have to see any of what I went through. I felt tired and useless. I spent days just crying, staying in bed, and living in a disorganized, messy room.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Salome dealt with her grief and remorse for years and continues to feel regret, as is <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/post-abortion-trauma-real-researchers-denying\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">common<\/a> for women who have suffered the trauma of abortion. It seems clear that workers at the abortion facility did not warn her she might see a fully formed but small baby when the abortion was over. <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/women-abortions-recall-lies-preborn-children\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This is not unusual<\/a> for abortion facilities, known to have <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/new-york-city-abortion-business-lies-shock\/\">withheld the truth<\/a> about fetal development from abortion clients.\u00a0Notably, Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/extreme-planned-parenthood-opposes-virtually-all-abortion-restrictions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">have fought against<\/a> informed consent laws that would require abortionists to accurately inform women about fetal development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3j4SSwDRAAM\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A recent study found that 77% of women who have abortions by pill <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/new-study-on-abortion-pill-shows-77-of-women-regretted-their-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">regret their decision<\/a>.\u00a0Live Action News has shared the stories of <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/woman-bled-five-months-abortion-pill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">many\u00a0women<\/a> who <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/woman-took-abortion-pill-suffering-years-pain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">regret<\/a>\u00a0their <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/took-abortion-pill-affair-regrets-ever-okay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abortions by pill<\/a>, \u00a0including one <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/rape-survivor-pregnant-regret-abortion-pill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rape survivor<\/a>. Another woman who took the abortion pill <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortion-pill-heartbroken-woman-begs-dont-do\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">begs other women<\/a> considering abortion, \u201cPlease don\u2019t do it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That woman too had a horrific experience of bleeding and pain.
