A woman who took the abortion pill wrote at\u00a0AbortionChangesYou.com<\/a>\u00a0that she became pregnant despite using birth control (an IUD)\u00a0. She and her fianc\u00e9 had just moved to a new town. She didn\u2019t have a job yet and they were in the middle of planning their wedding. \u201cWe weren\u2019t ready and dreaded what our parents would say,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

In retrospect, she said, \u201cIs that enough reason? NO, it\u2019s not … never was and so not worth it!\u201d<\/p>\n

She didn\u2019t want to take the second abortion pill, but had the misconception that if she did not take the second drug (misoprostol), her baby would be deformed, writing, “I wanted to chicken out but you can\u2019t stop then as your pregnancy would result in a disabled child, deformed. I have to follow through.”<\/p>\n

It is unknown whether abortion facility staff told her this or she heard it somewhere else. Regardless, this is incorrect information, and women who successfully reverse the abortion pill<\/a> have given birth to healthy babies<\/a>. She continued:<\/p>\n

\u00a0Tears ran down my face. Almost immediately the cramping started, as I read on the internet your first tablet loosens the pregnancy inside from your uterus and the other four makes you have contractions and forces the fetus to go down.<\/em><\/p>\n

Her experience with the abortion pill was agonizing:<\/p>\n

It\u2019s like being in labour and about half an hour you start bleeding. I threw up … it kept going like that for an hour with the cramps, I screamed of the intense pain, started getting a fever, threw up and just kept going then I started getting a runny tummy. <\/em><\/p>\n

It all came together while I try to curl up from the pain, my breathing was as if I was in labour, sweating, crying, throwing up, cramps continues \u2013 it doesn\u2019t stop. For an hour and a half I prayed to die as I thought I won\u2019t survive the pain I was going through. Excessive bleeding started after changing three times when I went to the toilet, I felt something biggish coming down and fell in the water, there was so much blood I couldn\u2019t see\u00a0anything. I pulled the chain … and thought how convenient. I just flushed you down the drain. I fell down crying.<\/em><\/p>\n
