Former California General Kamala Harris and current California Attorney General Xavier Becerra both pursued charges against the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) journalists instead of prosecuting Planned Parenthood for its criminal activities. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The federal civil rights lawsuit Daleiden filed in response has exposed how far Planned Parenthood\u2019s political contacts will go to defend the organization\u2019s reputation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A recent update from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/daviddaleiden\/status\/1290478168579567616\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Daleiden<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> revealed that Planned Parenthood, Harris, and Becerra have all responded to the lawsuit filed against them, adding that all parties named in the suit have admitted the only reason Daleiden is being prosecuted is because the content of what he has said is something Planned Parenthood considers objectionable. Planned Parenthood executives <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/422835401\/Motion-To-Quash-and-Traverse-David-Daleiden\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">communicated<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with Harris\u2019s office through multiple in-person meetings and email exchanges to determine how a warrant might be obtained to seize the video footage Daleiden gathered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Daleiden\u2019s recent post, this point has not yet been addressed yet by any of the parties named in the civil rights lawsuit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/undercover-investigator-planned-parenthood-daleiden-know\/\">Undercover Planned Parenthood investigator David Daleiden: \u2018No one is going to be able to say anymore that they didn\u2019t know\u2019<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Yet they all FAIL to address or even acknowledge the in-person lobbying meeting <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KamalaHarris?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@KamalaHarris<\/a> had with multiple PP execs about <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PPActionCA?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@PPActionCA<\/a> political goals in CA which included discussing investigation against me.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AGBecerra?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@AGBecerra<\/a> must STOP punishing speech <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PPFA?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@PPFA<\/a> disfavors!<\/p>\n<p>(2\/2)<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; David Daleiden (@daviddaleiden) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/daviddaleiden\/status\/1290479482860498945?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 4, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Becerra could have corrected the mistakes of his predecessor by choosing to investigate Planned Parenthood for selling the aborted body parts of children. But as a \u201cchampion\u201d of Planned Parenthood, he\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-cheers-attorney\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">refused<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0open an investigation into the abortion provider and instead pursued the prosecution of Daleiden and Merritt in an unprecedented attack on freedom of speech and freedom of the press.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Harris is now being considered as a potential vice presidential pick for Democratic nominee Joe Biden, making her longstanding ties to Planned Parenthood <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/kamala-harris-joe-biden-vp-need-know\/\">worth mentioning<\/a>. The raid Harris led on Daleiden\u2019s home was recently mentioned on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/tucker-carlson-slams-fraud-kamala-harris-as-she-rises-as-front-runner-for-biden-running-mate-pick\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tucker Carlson Tonight<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with Carlson drawing attention to how both Harris and Becerra weaponized California\u2019s video recording laws to cover up Planned Parenthood\u2019s crimes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fact that Daleiden used the same <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/naf-suing-pro-life-group-something-journalists-done-years\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">undercover reporting methods<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that journalists have relied on for years without any fear of prosecution makes the charges against him more egregious.
